"Red Flower" Collection 1 is finally here at HostaGuru.com! This collection of 4 hostas from the “Red Flower” hybridizing program of Doug Beilstein is meant to be planted as a group in the garden. They will bloom together in August adding an unexpected splash of bright “red” color. We will send at least 2 plants of each cultivar giving you an instant mass effect. They make great cut flowers too.

You have been waiting all summer but the time is finally here. This Saturday, August 9th from 9-4:00 PM is our "Lucky 13" hosta sale at Green Hill Hostas in Franklinton, NC. All hostas are just $13 even the $65 ones. This sale is one day only and you must come to the nursery and pick out your plants in person (or send a friend). Sorry we can not ship any "Lucky 13" sale hostas. We have our newest hostas available including 'Night Owl' pictured here and all our red-petioled beauties including 'Ruby Earrings' and 'Peach Brandy'. The hours again are 9-4:00 PM but don't feel like you have to come early, we have lots and lots of $13 hostas!

Believe it or not May is rapidly speeding to an end and Memorial Day is upon us next Monday! The nursery at Green Hill Farm will be open 9-4:00 on Monday, May 26th, rain or shine. (We all know how to chase hostas and dodge showers.) We will have some sweet treats and drinks for you as well as offering a 10% discount on all hostas available. Some of our famous "Not for Sale" cultivars like 'The Trophy Wife' pictured here will be on sale too. I hope to see you on Monday, it is still Hostatime.

Happy Holidays!!! Our new hosta offerings are now posted on HostaGuru.com, "sort for latest" to see them first. 'Sip of Wine' shown here is our newest hosta. A second generation seedling from 'Red October', the purple pigments in the petioles extend all the way up throughout the veins of the leaf. Like that first sip of a fine wine, it is something to savor.

We survived the cold weekend and now the hostas are jumping out of the ground and looking great! This Saturday, April 13th is Opening Day at Green Hill Farm. We will be open 9-4:00. February is flying by but this year fortunately we have an extra "leap" day! So I am extending our free shipping offer on orders over $150 until the first of March to take advantage of that extra day. Just use the coupon code, freeshipping2024 if your order applies.

Our headliner this year is an elegant dessert, 'Cherry Cheesecake', pictured here. It is very upright and may be our best bright red-petioled, yellow hosta.
