Dangerous heat is expected across much of the country, with millions of people likely to experience feels-like temperatures above 100 degrees this week. Extreme heat can quickly become life-threatening, so take steps now to protect yourself and your loved ones.

1) Stay hydrated. Avoid caffeine, alcohol, and sugary drinks on hot days.
2) Avoid direct sunlight from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
3) Wear light-colored clothing.
5) Seek shade, wear a hat, or use an umbrella to stay cool.
6) Immediately go somewhere cool if you feel dizzy or nauseous, and call 911.

To all former ARES EMT Program Students,

Let us assist you in your EMS journey.

Please be advised that clinical rotations completed under ARES remain valid for up to one (1) year from the date of completion, in accordance with standard EMS education guidelines. However, because the didactic and skills portions of the EMT Program were not completed, students must restart the EMT coursework in full to meet state certification requirements.

To support those affected, Hand Over Hand CPR LLC is offering a discounted EMT Program enrollment option exclusively for former ARES students. This opportunity is designed to help you continue your education without losing the time, effort, or financial investment you have already made.

Our EMT Program is state-approved, hybrid, and designed for working adults, parents, and clinicians who need flexibility while pursuing certification.

Become a nationally recognized Emergency Medical Technician through our Hybrid EMT Program, designed for working adults, future healthcare professionals, and those ready to step confidently into the EMS field. This course blends flexible online learning with essential in‑person skills labs, ensuring every student meets the rigorous standards required for real‑world emergency care.

Registration opens: August 15, 2026
Mandatory Orientation: August 24, 2026
Program Dates: August 31, 2026 – December 18, 2026
Tuition: $1,100 (includes all course materials, uniform shirt, and clinical insurance)

Program Format
This is a hybrid EMT course that combines structured online coursework with required in‑person hands‑on training throughout the month. Students will practice essential psychomotor skills, master patient assessment, and complete all competencies needed for EMT certification.

Clinical Experience
All students must complete clinical ride‑alongs with approved EMS agencies. These shifts provide real‑time exposure to emergency calls, patient care, and ambulance operations—an invaluable part of your training.
