Jesus chose us before the foundation of the earth by his will and for his pleasure. It is not reflect the image of God to deny ourselves, all pleasure even in our physical stewardship.

When you prioritize the ethic of experiencing pleasure within the boundaries of proper stewardship - there’s more peace, more love, more self-control, more patience, more joy, more fruit, and much better results.

There’s a tension between boldness in what you desire and detachment from outcome. Pursuing fruitfulness creates the eternal peace, joy and love that you’re hoping the results bring you anyways.

Binge eat or inconsistent with work outs? Stop holding in your hardest moments. Express them to others your trust from a place of victory in Christ. You’ll be less trigged to over eat or wallow in self pity, working out inconsistently.

It’s not reflective of the heart of God to set goals only from a place of need —> they should be set from place of desire in submission to Christ.

Everything we’re building for them is worth it.

Every hard truth we confront about ourselves is worth it.

Every hard day.
Every hard call.
Every risk.

Every season of faith before we see results.

For them, it’s all worth it.

If you just made a decision to fully commit to losing the fat once and for all - it’s going to be tempting to judge your success purely based off the tangible results.

But results can be deceiving.

When results are good you might define that as success - even though you’re not really experiencing peace, joy, patience, or self-control. Is is being done from a place of love for God and others instead of from a place of shame?

This is fruit.

When results aren’t showing up the way you wanted - as fast as you wanted, you might find that as unsuccessful.

But success in the Christian life begins with fruitfulness.

And glory to God, part of his design is that when we live fruitful lives, it typically leads to incredible tangible results.

Slightly chubby Christian business owners are conditioned to crave massively eventful progression. But the reality of physical stewardship is that there are seasons of mundane.

Seasons where the scale is not moving much.

Seasons where you’re not noticing the visual changes.

But if you can’t make it through those seasons without the validation of massive results - you will never be capable of sustaining the massive results.

It’s what David did while he was tending sheep that prepared him for the moment he slayed Goliath.

Your identity in the mundane prepares you for demonstrating massive victory.
