Deadline is Monday!
Be sure to grab your fall color while you can.
Tips for keeping your mums happy:
1. Place pots in a plant saucer or pie pan and keep full of water to reduce the cycle of drying out in between waterings.
2. Try to avoid watering mums from the top, avoiding getting the foliage wet. This lowers the risk of potential fungus or water spot damage.
3. Keep out of direct sunlight if you can. 3-4 hours of morning sunlight is recommended over afternoon sunlight.
4. Most mums have a second layer of blooms underneath spent blooms. Shear back the spent blooms in order to allow the next layer to bloom
5. Fertilize with a bloom booster liquid fertilizer once a month as needed.
6. Mums are perennials in our area! Which means if you plant them in the ground, they should come back year after year.
We look forward to seeing your vibrant porchaes this fall!
