With school starting in the fall, a lot of concerns have arisen for parents. We have found ourselves preferring to cyber school our child rather than send her to public school. I know there are parents who would like to have that option but don't have the support network.
I'm starting a cyber school support pod as a response to those concerns. The cyber pod is a small group of students who come together for cyber school. The group size would be 8-10 students that would come to a location, most likely my home, and be tutored and supervised.
This solves several issues with cyberlearning. Parents have a professional teacher to support their students. Parents can send their children to a location with socialization and less risk. Students will have supervised activities and a structured day. Parents who are otherwise unable to keep their children at home now have an option.
Safety measures will be held to the highest standard. Temp checks, social distancing, masks, frequent sanitizing, and handwashing will all be included in our procedures.
I would act as the tutor and supervise the students. I have all my clearances and will take all safety precautions you have come to expect from Camp-a-Doodle. There is a fee for my services as tutor.
As more show interest in our cyberlearning support pod, more information regarding protocols will be issued.
If you are interested or know someone who might be, contact me ASAP as space is very limited.
