Starting our Friday off right!! Not only do these students learn incredibly valuable tools by planting and tending to the crops and gardens, but they are learning an amazing life lesson about giving.

Franklin Schools Strategic Planning Taskforce first session will be tomorrow night, Wednesday, Sept.25 at 6:30pm at the FCHS Cafeteria. Everyone is encouraged to take part in this taskforce.

Participants will be asked to brainstorm what education might look like in ten years, how does the district best deliver it, and how to measure success.

Bring your ideas for the future of Franklin Schools!

Franklin Community Schools is excited to announce that it is time to reconvene the Superintendent's Strategic Taskforce to create the district’s new strategic plan which will guide the district over the next 10 years.

Dr. Clendening will host the first session on Wednesday, September 25, 2019, at 6:30 in the Franklin Community High School cafeteria.

The taskforce will discuss topics such as graduation pathways, redistricting, and what grades 5-8 should look like at FCS. Participants will be asked to brainstorm what education might look like in ten years, and how does the district best deliver it. The taskforce will also determine how the district will measure success in regard to the strategic plan.

With the midterm election behind us, we can finally say goodbye to the endless campaign ads on TV, but what about campaign signs? Spoiler - they can be recycled, just not in your bin.

Join us tomorrow morning at 9am or Monday at 5pm as we walk and talk to our neighbors in Franklin about Friends of Franklin Community Schools and reminding them to vote Yes on May 7!

You can meet us at Our home base located in the back of the Midwest Communications Group building located at 2000 Longest Dr, Franklin, IN 46131. You should enter through the east door of the building with the Garcor Supply sign. We will walk and talk from 9am until noon. There is a map below.

Before every "Walk and Talk" session, there is training for those who haven't done it before. We want everyone to feel as comfortable as possible and have fun working with others in the community for this important issue.

Franklin Community Schools are asking voters to pass a tax hike request for two primary purposes. The first purpose being teachers salaries and the second being mental health support.
