We’ve shared our excitement with the internship opportunity with Miss Bella, and now it’s time to share more regarding the FCA and FCHS partnership. Last week, we hosted 35 future educators in 9th and 10th grade enrolled in Principles of Early Childhood Education. This is the first class in the Early Childhood career pathway. These students had their first observation “field trip” experience at FCA. All of these students will be eligible to apply for the paid internship opportunity their senior year. We are excited to share a new opportunity and partnership at FCA! After working through the process to become an approved Work and Learn Indiana high school internship site, we are thrilled to welcome our first high school intern! Throughout the process, Mrs. Smith worked closely with Mr. Jenkins, Mrs. Jernigen, and FCHS administration to determine potential candidates to interview. Candidates on the EDU Professional Pathway were recommended for this experience. This also opened another opportunity for the Early Ed Pathway and partnership with Ivy Tech.

This paid internship allows a high school student to gain meaningful, hands-on experience in an early childhood setting while learning alongside our Cub Academy team. We believe some of the best learning happens through real-world experiences, and we are excited to open our doors to the next generation of educators and childcare professionals. 🐻💙
