As a reminder, all high school students are required to participate in service learning. Students are required to earn a cumulative total of 80 hours of community service over the course of their four years in high school and log them into the Track It Forward dashboard.

It's never too early to begin these requirements (as soon as the summer before 9th grade year).

Today, our administrative team had the opportunity to visit with Dean Anthony Baham of South Louisiana Community College, who also serves as President of our Board of Directors. We toured the SLCC New Iberia Campus and were incredibly impressed by the innovative programs, state-of-the-art facilities, and opportunities available to students.

As we continue working to expand opportunities for our students and strengthen partnerships that support college and career readiness, today's visit provided valuable insight into what the future can hold.

We are excited about several potential opportunities and collaborations that are currently in the works. Stay tunedโ€”we look forward to sharing some exciting news in the near future!

Summer may be in full swing, but learning never stops for our educators!

Members of our administrative team and teaching staff attended the Louisiana Department of Education's 2026 Teacher Leader Summit, "Big Ideas Start Here." Over three days, participants engaged in meaningful learning experiences focused on instructional best practices, new state initiatives, leadership development, and collaborative planning for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year.

While students are enjoying a well-deserved summer break, our educators are investing their time in growing professionally, exploring innovative ideas, and preparing for another successful year of learning.

The big ideas may have started at the summit, but we're excited to bring them back to our classrooms and school community. Here's to continuous improvement and ensuring the best possible educational experience for every student!

๐ŸŽถ๐ŸŠ Congratulations to Lane Richard and Maisyn LaFont! ๐ŸŠ๐ŸŽถ

We are incredibly proud to recognize Lane Richard and Maisyn LaFont for being selected to participate in the 2026 Band Masters Associationโ€™s All-Star Honor Band Program!

This prestigious honor brought together some of the most talented student musicians from across the state for two intensive days of rehearsals, culminating in an outstanding concert performance today at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.

Selection to this program is a testament to their hard work, dedication, musical talent, and commitment to excellence. Representing our school with pride, Lane and Maisyn demonstrated what it means to strive for greatness both individually and as members of a team.

Thank you to our band director, Mr. Carlino, for giving our students this opportunity.

Please join us in congratulating these remarkable students on this outstanding achievement! We are proud of all they have accomplished and look forward to seeing their continued success in the future.
