Hi,
Well, buckle up, friend, I've been on the rollercoaster of high school teaching for a whopping 26 & 1/2 years and taken a delightful detour through middle school for an additional 5 & 1/2 years—believe me when I say, I’ve seen more than a few “interesting” situations! Since hanging up my teacher's hat in June 2021, I thought I could kick the habit, but I was wrong! I’ve been hopping around as a substitute in four different WI school districts—because who doesn’t enjoy a sprinkle of unpredictability in their life?
Teaching? It’s in my DNA—whether I’m managing a room full of teens or keeping a gaggle of third graders in line at Sunday school. And because I clearly have a taste for this beautiful chaos, I’m diving headfirst into private tutoring! Details are still in the works, but who’s counting? I’m excited for this new adventure!
At home, I’ve been blessed to be married to my amazing wife, Kathy, for 45 years (seriously, she deserves a medal, a trophy, and perhaps even sainthood for putting up with me!). We've raised three kids who somehow managed to survive my relentless barrage of “dad jokes,” and now, we’re living the high life with 10 grandchildren to spoil—watch out, world, here comes the sugar rush!
When I’m not molding young minds, you can find me fishing—whether I’m in my own zone or wrangling my tiny fishing buddies (a.k.a. the grandkids). And if my line isn’t in the water, you might catch me surrounded by trees, camping somewhere. My camping adventures began back in the glorious days of the pop-up camper—pure nostalgia!
Kathy and I also have a serious case of wanderlust. We’ve explored about half of the states and 10 countries. We’re all about seeing, doing, and collecting memories (and maybe a few embarrassing stories along the way)!
