Alaina and I went on an adventure--Teen Transit Day with Franklin Transit. In addition to riding the bus, we did a craft, rode the carousel, and both had a Boba Tea for the first time. We came home exhausted. She said to me on the ride home...Mommy, I want to take a bath and then a nap. Gurl, you are speaking my language.

Which one is it? The game show where the symptoms are the same, and you have to guess the diagnosis. Welcome, welcome, I'm Link Learner, your game show host. Today's episode...is Perimenopause or Pain Med Detox...Our reigning champ, Perimenopause. Peri, step forward and remind the audience who you are.

Peri: Like totes hi! I mean, it is like, how am I here? Honestly, I can't remember, but I would like to say. That it is such a total and awesome honor to be repeatedly chosen as the diagnosis for any malady a woman has is moi. I take pride in that.

Link: Yes, Peri, we know (shoving Peri away from his microphone). And now, we have Pain Med Detox, a little bit about yourself, please.

Detox: What up.

Link: Anything else you would like to share with our audience?

Detox: Peace!

Link: Alright....thanks, Detox, for providing little to no information. Keeping it mysterious. But now, audience, onto the game! It is for you to determine, from the list of symptoms, whether Peri or Detox are this week's winner.
1. Brain Fog
2. Scattered Thoughts
3. Mood swings
4. Zero energy
5. Falling asleep during the day
6. Not sleeping at night.
7. Profusely sweating.
8. Feeling things crawling on you.
9. Leg spasms
10. Freezing and then burning up.

Tick-tock-tick-tock-tick-tock-tick-tock-tick-tock-tick-tock. Times up.

Winner is Detox.

Peri: WHAT! I demand a recount.

Link: Sorry, Peri, for once you are the loser.

Detox: Respect, Peri!

Link: Yes, folks, it is real! How did Detox win? One symptom after another in rapid succession until final clarity at 1 AM. It was like the skies opened, and the sun came through.

Today's parting gift is that the pain meds are out of my system!

The computer insists I'm a robot. I have clicked on crosswalks, fire hydrants, stoplights, bicycles, buses, cars, and so many motorcycles. Why divide the motorcycles? It takes me three or four times to "break" into a site.
Me: I'm HUMAN, not a robot
Computer: robot
Me: Do you not prick me, and I bleed? Do you not forget to take your pain meds overnight because you thought you were doing so well post-surgery? Then wake up in UTTER agony, can hardly move without screaming in pain. Your daughter rushing to help get ice packs, can't walk to the bathroom without your one-armed wonder of a husband helping you-HU-man!
Computer: RO-bot
Me: I'm human, human, human!!!!!
Computer: ROBOT, ROBOT, ROBOT....robot!
Me: Fine, Beep-bop, boop, boo HOOOOOOO😭 (Slink away in a pile of tears.)
Computer: Heh-heh, pathetic human.

If this is the first version of Kindoll Presents you've heard/read about, please know that if we haven't told you or you haven't found out through the grapevine, we're simply overwhelmed trying to organize doctor visits. That said, I'm finally getting around to doing a post that sort of explains our mishaps.

Once Upon a Not-so-Long-Ago Time:

Three Kindolls tried to cross a bridge too far. Big Joe, Medium Kristen, and Teenie-Beanie Alaina tripped-tropped over it. Out jumped a giant Frog/Toad who said, "Ribbet." "EEEEEKKKKK!" Kristen doesn't like frogs/toads but appreciates their environmental impact and their role as indicators of a healthy ecosystem. That said, she doesn't like them and screamed, then began to fall sideways. Big Joe tried to save his favorite Kristen of all the Kristens or Kikis....Alas, both fumbled and tumbled off the bridge. Big Joe broke his humerus and two ribs. Medium Kristen tore her Meniscus. After another adventure to visit ALL the doctors in Nashville (not really, but it felt like it), Kristen got her knee fixed and even an upgrade, with Old Doc removing some arthritis. Big Joe has to let both injuries heal on their own, no surgery (good), no cast (sigh...bad). Teenie-Beanie Alaina is the only one who is still put together. However, she is slowly going cuckoo from being cooped up in the Kindoll's Hobbit Hole. Hopefully, the end is near, as we are all on the mend.

That said, I wanted to shout out people who heard through the grapevine, or whom we told for various reasons about our mishaps. The meals, prayers, rides, and taking Alaina on outside adventures have been so helpful that our hearts are ten times full. THANK YOU. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
