Grid Winners Announced Live on School Show
Nine numbers were called out during The Morning Show (live announcements) at Heard County Middle School to award cash prizes for the HCMS Boxtops Grid. This event is sponsored by Reeves Supply. Using a web-based random number generator, Assistant Principal – and soon to be principal -- Brian Hadley called out winning numbers. News team members announced names on the corresponding squares on the grid. There were only 12 empty squares (out of 100) on this year’s grid.
The first six numbers called (for $5 cash prizes):
#30 – Justin Barr
#86 – Matt Cole
#8 – Haley Bennett
#69 – Jesse Elkins
#57 – Ms. Vernon’s Class
#96 – Mrs. Susan Scott
The next two numbers called (for $10 cash prizes):
#3 – Haley Bennett
#52 – Beth Taylor
The last number called (for $25 cash prize):
#36 – Mrs. LouAnn Hood

The new grid begins this summer. Collect General Mills Boxtops for a chance to claim your square on the Boxtops Grid. Remember to submit unexpired boxtops that are trimmed, counted, bagged (50 per bag) and labeled with your name (and address/phone number if you are sending them by mail). 50 Boxtops = 1 square. Mail boxtops to: Heard County Middle School, Attention G. South/Boxtops, 269 Old Field Road, Franklin GA 30217.
The media program earns 10 cents for each boxtop submitted to Boxtops for Education. Proceeds are used for reading incentives, labeling supplies, digital books and devices.
Thanks to everyone for supporting the media program at HCMS!
