Franklin-Simpson Alumni Association The F-S Alumni Association is a group of F-S Alumni whose support helps provide educational opportunities for Franklin-Simpson students!

Make a contribution and join the F-S Alumni Association today! The F-S Alumni Association offers a one-time $5000 scholarship annually to an FSHS graduating senior who is the child of an F-S graduate. Any additional funding is designated to the F-S school system.

When baby Brian was born, he refused to sleep unless he was wrapped like a burrito. Not a swaddle, not a blanket—a full-body cocoon wrap, just tight enough to look like a human spring roll. His mom became a pro, calling it her “burrito technique.” Brian? He loved it. Slept like a rock.

Fast-forward 35 years.

Brian now has a beard, a mortgage, and two screaming toddlers of his own. One day, after pulling an all-nighter with his sick kids, he dragged himself into his childhood home, threw his backpack down, and groaned, “I haven’t slept in a week.”

His mom patted the couch and said, “Want me to do the burrito wrap?”

Brian laughed. “Yeah, if only that still worked.”

Challenge accepted.

Thirty seconds later, he was wrapped tighter than a Chipotle order, in the same white blanket from his baby years. She even shushed him gently. He passed out in 15 seconds.

His wife walked in and screamed.

“What on EARTH are you doing?!”

His mom, with a perfectly straight face:
“Resetting him to factory settings.”

She made him pose for a photo.

Now it hangs on her fridge next to the original one from 1988.

And yes—she still calls him her “little burrito.”
Even at PTA meetings.
