It is with sadness we relay the information that the Class of1969 has lost another class member. Charles (Chuck) Russom, passed away in October of 2024. He was a resident of North Carolina. Chuck served in Air Force reserves and Army National Guard after high school. He also enjoyed 23 + years in banking. Chuck loved Nascar and Civil War history. He will be greatly missed by his wife, family and friends.

November FCHS Class of 1969 Luncheon will be at the Court Street Cafe, East Ct Street on Wednesday Nov. 13th at 11:00 a.m.
Lots of great eats and a long table to seat several! Join in - hope to see you there!

It is with sadness we share the loss of Spencer Tarr earlier this year. Spencer A. Tarr, 72 of Franklin, Indiana, passed away March 30, 2024 at Cedar Creek Assisted Living Facility.

He was a 1969 graduate of Franklin Community High School and received his B.A. in Economics from Franklin College in 1973.

He was the owner/operator of Tarr Automotive Machine from 1979 until the time of his stroke on December 10, 1993. Spencer was one of the original founders of the Johnson County Antique Machinery Association and loved his antique tractors. He will be missed by family and friends.

It is with sad news that we share fellow classmate Michael (Mike) Hommel passed away on Sept 5th.
Mike will be remembered for his outgoing personality and love of music.
Mike was a 1969 graduate of Franklin Community High School. He retired from Grimmer-Schmidt where he worked as an engineer for 47 years. He will be missed by family and friends.

To fellow FCHS 1969 graduates:
Lesson on your DL at our age - if you are under the age of 75 you can renew your license up to two years prior to the renewal date on your license. Renewal will be good for six years . If you wait til you are 75 to renew, it will only be good for three years and you may have to take a variety of tests.
So it might be a benefit to you to renew now or within the age of 74 so that you get another 6 year drivers license.
Just trying to help my fellow classmates out! 😉🚗🚙🛻🏍
