🧊 The Trinomial Cube… but make it BLINDFOLDED! 🙈

One of the coolest things about Montessori materials is how they grow right along with the child. The Trinomial Cube is a perfect example! What begins as a beautiful, hands-on sensorial puzzle for younger children eventually becomes a concrete introduction to some pretty big mathematical ideas in the elementary years.

And when our elementary students have worked with it enough? Well… apparently seeing the cube is optional. 😂

Watching them take on the challenge of building the Trinomial Cube blindfolded is such a fun reminder of just how deeply they come to understand these materials. Same cube, different ages, SO many layers of learning. ❤️

And speaking of the Trinomial Cube… have you ever heard her story about the Trinomial Cube and her very first day at a Montessori school? 👀😂

If not, you’re missing a good one! Make sure you ask her about it the next time you see her. ❤️

Today, MSF was touched by a very special act of kindness. A generous gentleman stopped by to donate school supplies lovingly collected by his late wife, Sherry Rauter, as well as a coin collection.

Sherry was a Lower Elementary Montessori teacher in Dallas, Texas, and her husband even spent a year working alongside her as her classroom assistant! We are deeply grateful that he chose to honor her memory and continue her legacy of learning by sharing these meaningful gifts with our school.

Thank you for blessing the MSF community. Sherry’s love for Montessori education will live on through the curiosity and learning these gifts inspire in our students. 💚

Today, in honor of Maria Montessori’s birthday, our kindergarten and elementary students enjoyed a special read-aloud and timeline presentation exploring her remarkable life and legacy.

Using the short bead chain of ten and additional bead bars, students created a concrete representation of the years from her birth to today—and discovered that Dr. Montessori would be 156 years old! This hands-on experience beautifully connected history, mathematics, and Montessori learning.

Happy birthday, Dr. Montessori! We are grateful for the vision that continues to inspire children and educators around the world. 💙

Today, Ms. Ramona shared the First Great Lesson with our Montessori students! 🌎✨
Through this beautiful story, the children were introduced to the origins of the universe and the incredible story of how our world came to be. The lesson sparked curiosity, wonder, and lots of big questions!
And the best part? Afterwards, one student excitedly said, “I’m ready for the next story!” ❤️
That sense of wonder and eagerness to learn is exactly what makes Montessori so special. 🌟
