September is Attendance Awareness Month!

September is Attendance Awareness Month, and at Franklin Public Schools, we’re celebrating the importance of being present, connected, and ready to learn each day!

Regular attendance matters because every school day is an opportunity to learn, build relationships, practice important skills, and be part of our school community. When students are consistently present, they have more opportunities to experience success both academically and socially.

To make attendance fun, each building has created its own special challenge:

🥔 FRANKLIN ELEMENTARY — Present Potatoes!
Our elementary students are working together to build their very own Present Potato! Each day that every student in a classroom is present for the full school day, the class earns another piece for their potato. Once their potato is complete, they’ll celebrate with a special chip party and surprise visit from our Franklin Mr. Potato Head! 🥔🎉

🍕 FRANKLIN MIDDLE & HIGH SCHOOL — Attendance Challenge!
Our middle and high school students are competing as Maintenance Teams throughout September. Teams will track their attendance throughout the month, with the team demonstrating the best attendance earning a pizza party for the entire team! 🍕

These challenges aren't just about prizes—they're about building the habits that help students show up, stay connected, and make the most of every school day.
