There are few places one can be barefoot outside in January! There's no winter quite like a Louisiana winter. Celebrating the season here at Kids Place with pretend snow flurries, winter stories, and lots of wintery play!

✨ Joy is in the air! ✨
Christmas festivities are officially in full swing in both of our classrooms, and the joy on these sweet faces says it all!

These photos are a mix from this week and last, and we’ve been busy celebrating the season with our Advent calendar, handprint reindeer, ornament crafts, Christmas stories, and our Bible lesson: “Angels Spoke to Mary and Joseph.”

We enjoyed a little Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, sang Christmas songs, had plenty of festive playtime, and even celebrated a birthday, making everything even more special! 🎉🎄❤️

We are so grateful for this joyful season and all the precious memories being made!

👑✨ 𝗔𝗻𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗪𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝗪𝗲𝗲𝗸 𝗮𝘁 𝗠𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿’𝘀 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝗢𝘂𝘁! ✨👑
We had such a fun and faith-filled week at 𝗠𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿’𝘀 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝗢𝘂𝘁 𝗮𝘁 𝗖𝗿𝗼𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗙𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽!

This week, we learned about 𝗤𝘂𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗘𝘀𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿’𝘀 𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 and the courage it took for her to save her people. We talked about the emotions she must have felt during that time and how 𝗚𝗼𝗱 𝗮𝗹𝘀𝗼 𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗝𝗲𝘀𝘂𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗛𝗶𝘀 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 — what a powerful reminder of His love and faithfulness! 💛

Because of this story, we leaned into all things 𝗿𝗼𝘆𝗮𝗹𝘁𝘆 — dressing up like kings and queens, decorating 𝗰𝗿𝗼𝘄𝗻𝘀, and celebrating the gifts God gives each of us. 👑

We also learned about the 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗿 𝘆𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄, our 𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗸 — 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿, and our 𝗻𝘂𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 — 𝟱. ⭐️
Our 𝗚𝗼𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗹 𝗚𝗲𝗺 was:
✨ “𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗮 𝗺𝗶𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗹𝗲? 𝗔 𝗺𝗶𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗹𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘄𝘀 𝗚𝗼𝗱’𝘀 𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿.” ✨
And our 𝗠𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝗩𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗲 was 𝗜𝘀𝗮𝗶𝗮𝗵 𝟵:𝟲 (𝗘𝗦𝗩).

Each day begins with 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗽𝗿𝗮𝘆𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲, which has quickly become one of our favorite parts of the day! Our worship is full of 𝗱𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗽𝗿𝗮𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴, and during prayer, the children love lifting up others — praying for their 𝗺𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝗲𝘀, 𝗱𝗮𝗱𝗱𝗶𝗲𝘀, 𝗯𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝘀, 𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀, 𝗰𝗮𝘁𝘀, 𝗯𝗶𝗿𝘁𝗵𝗱𝗮𝘆𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗯𝗼𝗼𝗯𝗼𝗼𝘀. 🩵 There’s nothing sweeter than hearing their little voices talk to God! 🙏

We read “𝗦𝗲𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗬𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄 𝗔𝗹𝗹 𝗔𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝗨𝘀”, learned how to 𝗵𝗼𝗽𝘀𝗰𝗼𝘁𝗰𝗵, and enjoyed the 𝗰𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗳𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝘄𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 during outside playtime! 🍂

Every week at 𝗠𝗗𝗢 is filled with laughter, learning, and a deeper understanding of God’s Word. We’re so thankful for the precious children we get to teach and the wonderful families who support us! ❤️

🍂✨ 𝗙𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗙𝘂𝗻 𝗮𝘁 𝗠𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿’𝘀 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝗢𝘂𝘁! ✨🍂
It’s been such a wonderful week at our 𝗠𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿’𝘀 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝗢𝘂𝘁 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺 at 𝗖𝗿𝗼𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗙𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 — full of laughter, learning, and sweet reminders of God’s goodness!

We’ve been soaking up this beautiful fall season together — learning about 🍁 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘃𝗲𝘀, making 🎃 𝗽𝘂𝗺𝗽𝗸𝗶𝗻 𝗰𝗿𝗮𝗳𝘁𝘀, and enjoying the 𝗰𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗮𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗺𝗻 𝗮𝗶𝗿 outside. The classroom has been filled with creativity as little hands made 𝗽𝘂𝗺𝗽𝗸𝗶𝗻 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝘆𝗱𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵, decorated 𝗽𝘂𝗺𝗽𝗸𝗶𝗻 𝗰𝗼𝗼𝗸𝗶𝗲𝘀, and explored our 𝗳𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝗯𝗶𝗻𝘀. 🍂

This week, we also talked about how 𝗚𝗼𝗱 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗱 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗮 for His people and enjoyed “manna” snacks — bread and jelly cut with cookie cutters — as a fun reminder that 𝗚𝗼𝗱 𝗮𝗹𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗱𝗲𝘀! 🙌

We read 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗔𝗽𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗣𝗶𝗲 𝗧𝗿𝗲𝗲, shopped at our very own 𝗳𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝘁, and even baked 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗽𝗶𝗲𝘀 in our centers room. We also practiced using our kind words, learning how to say “𝗽𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲” and “𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗸 𝘆𝗼𝘂” with grateful hearts. 🍎🥧

And to top off our week, today we got to wear our costumes (nothing spooky!) and share 𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁 𝗯𝗮𝗴𝘀 𝗳𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗴𝗼𝗼𝗱𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗹𝗲 𝘁𝗼𝘆𝘀 with our friends — so much laughter and joy filled the day! 💛

We are so thankful for the wonderful 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀, 𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀, 𝗴𝘂𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗮𝗻𝘀, 𝗳𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗹𝘆, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗳𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗱𝘀 who trust us and support our program. Your love, prayers, and encouragement mean the world to us. ❤️

Every week is a new adventure of 𝗳𝗮𝗶𝘁𝗵, 𝗳𝘂𝗻, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗳𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗱𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 here at Mother’s Day Out. We’re so grateful for the little hearts we get to teach and the families we get to serve.

The school year is in full swing, and we’re soaking up every bit of this beautiful fall season! 🍂
Our little learners have been busy 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝘆𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘃𝗲𝘀, 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗽𝘂𝗺𝗽𝗸𝗶𝗻𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗲𝗻𝗷𝗼𝘆𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗼𝗹𝗲𝗿 𝘄𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 — and we’re so thankful for these sweet days filled with laughter and learning.

Employee highlight!!

Meet Mrs. Karen Smith!

Mrs. Karen has been with our MDO program since our launch last fall, and she comes with a wealth of knowledge and experience in childcare. She is a long time member of Crossing Place Fellowship, and I am honored to say she is part of our MDO family.

She is dependable and will humbly do all that is asked. From "nap time specialist" to clean up and beyond, she does it all with a servant's heart.

Tomorrow, she will start her full time roll in our 1 and 2 year room. We are so blessed to have her on board! 🥰🥰
