Any ideas for our 30 year reunion?

If anyone wants to see the Panther Pit in a condition that is close to what we remember it, you know, pay homage to it or whatever you want to call it, they will need to come this year. The new school construction is supposed to start as soon as football season is over. Step 1 is the demolition of the current stadium, Ag building, and current weightroom. So if we have our 30 year next year, there will be no football stadium to come to. It will be under construction. Snapped this picture today.

Ms. Higdon and Ms. Crawford from our English Department proudly display new shirts made to honor the final year of 'The Pit.' We remember the countless games, senior nights, homecomings, graduations, and community events that took place in 'The Pit.'

Thank you to Eric Haggart who provided the drone shot used for the design and to Lindsay Rumans for the design used that was created from that shot.

In conjunction with the class of 1993, we will be hosting a post-celebration get together at Currahee Brewing Company Saturday evening after Greer’s celebration of life. We know that many people are coming from out of town and may want to spend a little extra time reminiscing and celebrating with those who live here. This will be a perfect opportunity for that. The celebration of life will be from 2pm to 5pm on Saturday, June 8, 2024 at the Smoky Mountain Performing Arts Cebter. The post celebration will begin at 6pm at Currahee. Everyone is invited and welcome.

With great sorrow, the FHS Class of '96 announces the passing of one of our own: Ben Casses. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends.

Benjamin Nicholas Casses died August 16. He was 45.

Everyone please put Sat. June 26 on your calendars! 25th Reunion will be at Josh Drake's Barn at Tessentee Farms from 4-8pm. This is a covered dish! Matthew Reynolds will be supplying and cooking BBQ, and we will be taking donations toward the cost. This is kid friendly and BYOB. We are inviting the Class of 1995 to participate with us as their 25th was ruined by Covid. Class of 1996-only get together Friday June 25 at Currahee Brewery at 7pm.
