Alumni Spotlight: from Killian Rose
“I heard about SOSL through a friend who was currently enrolled in the school and her testimony inspired me to press into the Lord about signing up. After a few weeks of prayer I really felt the Lord encourage me to take the risk to jump all in. My relationship with the Lord was rich and beautiful at the time of signing up for school, but I was hungry for more and knew that this was an opportunity for me to set aside 8 months of my life in full abandon to learn new rhythms of worship, surrender, intimacy and adventure with the Lord. I feel like we can always gain new understanding of His heart and His rhythms as we enter new seasons of our lives and I felt like I was on the cusp of something new! I am so incredibly grateful for my time at school and all that I walked away with. I feel like I gained a deeper heart understanding of who the Father is and His love for me.
Before signing up for school, I had started my own photography business photographing for organizations around the world and working with women’s empowerment programs. My time at school just accelerated my passion and pursuit of the things God had put on my heart and after school. This has taken me to many places around the world such as India, China, Costa Rica, Mexico, and the Philippines photographing women and their stories of overcoming hardships. It has been an honor to sit in spaces with women and see the Holy Spirit bring healing and redemption to some of the darkest places.
Fast forward to today, I work for Jesus and Women Global. We are currently translating this study into as many languages as possible to give away for FREE to women and men everywhere. We currently just launched Spanish, Nepali and Arabic. We will be launching Tagalog, Mandarin and Hindi soon.
I am so grateful for the journey God has me on, and I am so thankful that SOSL was such a big part of my story. I pray that this encourages you to keep moving boldly towards the things the Lord places on your heart and reminds you that He is faithful with every part of our stories! “
