Our mentors can tell you that one of our main goals is to help students learn that mistakes are proof of effort and the cornerstone of learning. We’re working hard to embrace the vulnerability of learning and helping our Scholars develop shame resilience (aka “grit” as this article explains).

It’s always interesting to see how schools and education have changed over the years. I always loved being outside, though the younger the students (& the bigger the class), the more challenging this becomes.
Open-air schools helped fight pandemics in the 1900s. Should they make a comeback? A century ago, educators at New Jersey's Boylan Street School taught in the outdoors to fight against tuberculosis, an infectious respiratory disease.

Image Builders mentors understand what it means to live in a mandatory reporting state. Teachers aren’t the only ones called to look out for children- we’re ALL responsible to report suspected child abuse/ neglect.
