As we close out August, we would like to say THANK YOU to our 2026 Calendar Fundraiser Sponsors! đź’š

Our mantra for this year's OFF THE WALL production is "Together, We Create!", and our generous sponsors are a wonderful example of what that means. Their support reminds our students that they are part of an incredible community that believes in them, invests in their experiences, and helps make their musical journey possible.

Congratulations to the 47 Franklin High School students who performed in 47 events at the WSMA State Solo & Ensemble Festival this season!

Ten of those events were recognized as part of the WSMA Exemplary Performance Recognition Project, including three that were named as final award recipients:

Hanh Bui, Clarinet Solo
Yadavi Dubhashi, Flute Solo
FHS Saxophone Choir

Congratulations to Abby and Connor, who will represent Franklin High School as part of the 2026 WSMA High School State Honors Music Project!

This year, WSMA received a remarkable 1,300 auditions for just 430 positions across five elite ensembles. Out of 58 trombones who auditioned, Abby was one of the top 13 in the state; out of 64 alto saxophonists, Connor was one of the top four.

Per WSMA, "the intensity of this program underscores a significant achievement: selection for the State Honors Music Project identifies a student as one of Wisconsin’s premier high school musicians".

Way to go, Abby and Connor!

5:30 PM: Dinner catered by That's Amoré ($10 all-ages, pay at the door via cash, check, card). Cabaret performances by FPS choir and orchestra students. Franklin High School cafeteria.

7:00 PM: Concert in the Saber Center featuring FPMS and FHS Jazz Ensembles. Free and unticketed.

Congratulations to freshman saxophonist Euan O'Neil on his Carnegie Hall debut on February 8!

“Being selected to the Honors Performance Series is something each Finalist should be extremely proud of accomplishing,” Marion Gomez, music director for the Honors Performance Series, said in a news release. “We processed nearly 10,000 nominations this year and have selected the most talented student performers from around the world. Working with these conductors and performing at these renowned music halls is a once-in-a-lifetime experience that these musicians will never forget.”

As part of this experience, Euan participated in rehearsals led by top conductors, attended a Broadway show, collaborated with other student musicians, and explored New York City.

Euan's selection is a testament to his passion, dedication, and talents within music, as well as to his wonderful family and private teacher support system.

Bravo, Euan!
