Still on the fence about starting preschool? Here is what former PB&J mom, Jacque H., has to say about her experience at PB&J!
"I cannot say enough wonderful things about our experience at PB&J. From the very beginning, it was clear that this was more than just a school. It was a genuinely loving and welcoming environment where children are known, cared for, and encouraged to grow.
One of the things that stood out most to us was the dedication of the teachers and staff. Several of the teachers have been with the school for more than 10 years, which speaks volumes about the kind of community they have created. That experience and consistency were incredibly reassuring as a parent. The teachers truly know each child, and it shows in the way they nurture, teach, and connect with them.
Safety was also extremely important to us, and I always felt confident leaving my child in their care. The school takes safety seriously, with thoughtful procedures and security measures in place, including cameras throughout the school that I was able to check in on through the day and see how my child was doing. Knowing how committed the staff was to creating a safe and secure environment gave me tremendous peace of mind.
Academically, I could not have asked for a better foundation. The curriculum is developmentally appropriate, engaging, and play-based, allowing children to learn in a way that feels natural and joyful. My child was able to build the academic, social, and emotional skills needed for kindergarten without preschool ever feeling overly structured or pressured. I never once worried about whether my child would be prepared for kindergarten because I could see how intentionally the teachers were helping them grow and become confident, independent learners.
Communication with families was another strength. I always felt comfortable asking questions, sharing concerns, or simply checking in. The teachers and administration were approachable, responsive, and open, and I truly felt like we were partners in my child’s development.
Most importantly, my child was happy, loved, safe, and excited to go to school. As a parent, there really is no greater reassurance than knowing that the people caring for your child genuinely love what they do. We are incredibly grateful for the teachers, the community, and the foundation this preschool gave our child. After six years and two children being at PB&J, our youngest just graduated to Kindergarten. On his last day, I cried the whole way home. Not because I was sad about him going to kindergarten, but because we were leaving a place and people that had become like family.
I would wholeheartedly recommend PB&J to any family looking for a nurturing, safe, and exceptional place for their child to learn and grow."
