Each year, we celebrate the end of the school year with a fun, school-wide event called the End of Year Bash. It’s always a memorable time for our families, students, and staff to come together for fellowship and activities. Our PTO planned a fantastic evening filled with bounce houses, food trucks, popsicles, and bubbles!

We concluded the event with our annual Upper Division Girls’ Powder Puff game. We were all holding our breath as the teams tied the game in the final minute. Congratulations to the Blueberries on their overtime victory!

On this “Student Spotlight”, we congratulate Donivan Hotchkiss, class of 2026, for scoring high enough on the ASVAB to be accepted to the Air Force Space Force. Due to his high score, Donivan will be able to choose from among a top tier of job opportunities. We are so proud of you, Donivan!

Get ready to smile, laugh and cry! Our latest Headmaster Highlights episode celebrates the Senior Class of 2026. In this feature-length film, you’ll hear a personal testimony from each of our 13 seniors about how FCS has impacted their lives and what they have planned for their next steps. We also showcase special moments from senior events during the last week of school, as well as the graduation ceremony- and maybe even a few blooper moments!

These 13 seniors truly lived out their class verse: “Those who know Your Name put their trust in You, for You, O Lord, have not forsaken those who seek You.” — Psalm 9:10. They have modeled for our student body how to trust God through transition and have led our community with strength and grace.

Congratulations to the Class of 2026! We miss you already!

As you unpack backpacks for the final time and settle into the rhythm of summer, we want to pause and remember something important: about 20% of our families are still deeply reliant on tuition assistance in order to return next year. For these families, continued enrollment simply would not be possible without the support of our community.

We have made a commitment to stand with them, and we intend to honor that commitment through scholarships and tuition assistance for the coming academic year. To make this possible, we have created clear and meaningful pathways for every family to participate in surrounding these brothers and sisters with support to keep them rooted at FCS for years to come. If your family has been blessed by tuition assistance, we warmly encourage you to forward this email and share the giving link with friends and family who may want to champion the mission of FCS alongside you.

One of the primary ways to do this is through our Monday, June 15th Steven Curtis Chapman event at Southall Farm and Inn. This evening was designed specifically to rally our community around families in need. Individual tickets begin at $1,500, and there is also an opportunity to give any amount toward a pooled gift that honors a teacher with a seat. A pair of seats at $3,000 allows you to name a scholarship and write an anonymous prayer for the student who will receive it.

If June 15th is not an option for you, we warmly invite you to come alongside these families by giving whatever you are able - we need your help to reach our goal of $300,000. Every gift matters, and every act of generosity strengthens our community.

There are seasons when any one of us may need extra help. When we rally together, we declare that no one walks alone in this community.

For general giving—at any amount you feel led and able to contribute or to register for the June 15th event— visit the link below and select “Reserve Your Seats” to also see an option to make a donation of any size.

Registrations close June 5th! 👉🏻https://www.boostmyschool.com/orgs/franklinclassical/events/franklinclassical-an-evening-of-storytelling-and-song-with-steven-curtis-ch

When Ronald Reagan was inaugurated as Governor of California in 1967, he said the now-famous quote, “Freedom is a fragile thing, and it’s never more than one generation away from extinction.”

Today, on Memorial Day, we honor the valiant men and women who died in military service to our nation. We are deeply grateful to the generations past and present who sacrificed their lives so that we, as Americans, may continue to enjoy our unique and enduring freedoms!

As graduation nears, our students have been soaking up these last days with our senior class. From yearbook parties and multiplication drills to playing outside- we’ve cherished these moments of connection with a class that has poured out so much support and leadership to our student body!

Our grammar students wrapped up the 4th quarter of PE with a dynamic pickleball unit!

They’ve spent meaningful time building skills and confidence over the past few months. The students worked on:

-Dynamic warm-ups and game
readiness
-Core fundamentals and key
movements
-Volleying and controlled dinking
-Court awareness, including
understanding areas to avoid—like
the kitchen

They also added some fun twists with 4-square pickleball and our popular “Crowned” King and Queen of the Court games.

It was a joy to see the students grow in both skill and sportsmanship! The pickleball unit concluded with the final and most exciting event: Ultimate King & Queen
of the Court—complete with crowns!

Our Upper Division students memorized the first 18 lines of the prologue to The Canterbury Tales in Middle English. Today, we held a competition for the best recitation. Adam Brewer won first place, Bryce Flatt won second, and Lydia Jenkins won third. The prize was a rooster statue in honor of Chanticleer, one of the characters in the tales.

At a recent Knight Crew event, our 4th and 5th grade classes performed in a talent show! We enjoyed beautiful dance routines, piano solos, a ca****la performances, comedy acts, and a girls’ vocal trio. The students did an amazing job showcasing their talents and entertaining the audience.
