THEY WERE JUST KIDS… AND THEY TOOK ON NEW YORK.

Franklin-Simpson High School proudly presents Newsies, a high-energy Broadway musical packed with powerful vocals, incredible dancing, and a story that still matters today.

Set in 1899 New York City, this show follows a group of young newsboys who stand up against powerful publishers in a fight for fairness, and they do it with some of the most exciting choreography you’ll see on a high school stage.

🗞️ EXTRA! EXTRA! 🗞️

Our students are bringing Newsies to life, and it is going to be SO much fun. Set in 1899 New York, this high-energy show follows a group of young newsboys who stand up for what’s right, and the music and dancing are absolutely incredible. Big tap numbers, powerful anthems, and a whole lot of heart.

Last weekend was a big one for FSHS Choral Activities!

On Saturday, a group of students traveled to Nashville to see Newsies at Trevecca University. It was a wonderful opportunity to experience the same show we’ll be performing in March!

On Sunday and Monday, three of our students participated in the Murray State Quad State Honor Choir in Murray, KY. Out of more than 1,400 auditions, only 250 singers were selected. Congratulations to Emma T., Emma N., and Taillyn on this outstanding accomplishment!
