Our Williamson County 4-H Horse Project kicked off the 4-H State Horse Show today by participating in the State and Open Horse Judging Contests. Our Junior team, consisting of Charlie A, Nellie Rose K., and Charlotte S. won 1st place in the Open Contest while our Senior team, consisting of Paili D., Mia C., Mary Elizabeth K., and Sydney C. are the 2026 State 4-H Horse Judging Champions! These young ladies will be representing Tennessee at the Southeast Regionals and Eastern Nationals Horse Judging Contests later this year.
We also had several students earn spots in the Top 10 individually:
- Juniors: Nellie Rose 4th; Charlie 6th; and Charlotte 7th
- Junior Highs: Edelyn 7th and Leahness 9th
- Seniors; Paili 2nd; Mia 4th; and Mary Elizabeth 7th

These remarkable Williamson County 4-H members just returned from UT Knoxville where they were Delegates at the 2026 Academic Conference! This unique opportunity allows students to experience life on UT's campus while attending classes and participating in projects led by State specialists in their subject matter. We are fortunate to have some outstanding young people representing Williamson County 4-H. Each student had to apply to attend in their project discipline and were selected State-wide to participate.
Congratulations to these students for being selected as delegates in the following project areas: Edelyn A.- Vet Science, Jovi A.- Companion Animal, Dea A. -Citizenship, Oorvi B. - Healthy Living, Hattie Jane C. - Beef, Leahness D. -Poultry, Charlotte H. - Horse, Sloan H. -Computers and Technology, Henry L. - Goat, Zoey W. - Forestry, Wildlife and Fisheries, Hatcher Y. - Sheep and Ashlynn Z. - Swine.
We look forward to these students sharing what they learned with others in 4-H!

We had such an amazing time at Junior Camp! So many of our campers won service and spirit awards - we are so proud of them for helping others and keeping the camp spirit all week! AND, the top two riflemen during the rifle tournament were our Williamson County boys! Thank you campers and teens for a WONDERFUL camp week!

Had a super fun dance to cap off a super fun day at camp last night π Then led flag raising to kick off our last full day! Great job to Zoe for leading the pledge for us all and Will Z. for leading the 4-H pledge!
