As we move into the end of September, we are starting lessons about growth mindset - the knowledge that our brains are always growing and improving the more effort we put in. Positive self-talk is a great way to help frame those fixed mindset thoughts like “I can’t do this” and “I’ll never learn it.” 💙

The North Carolina Summer Nutrition Program offers free meals for children up to 18 years old throughout June, July and August to ensure that students have access to food all summer long.

To find nearby meal programs, you can text the word FOOD or COMIDA to 304-304. You will then receive a message with nearby locations.

No paperwork or proof of income is needed to access free meals.

Rising 5th Grade Families, we look forward to meeting you this week!

Families, our Family Day is a structured orientation, which means you and your child will rotate through stations, where you will learn more about multiple aspects of a school day at MVI. This is not a drop-in orientation. Our hope is that the 2 hours we spend together will be valuable to you as parents/guardians and to our future students!
