There is something special about getting the NHA family back together.

This past Sunday, members of the Class of 2020 gathered for an alumni reunion full of great food, lots of laughter, and even better conversations. It was such a gift to catch up, hear what everyone has been up to, pray over one another, and spend time together again.

A huge thank you to the Pena family for opening their ranch to us and providing the perfect setting for the afternoon. Alumni enjoyed ATV rides around the property, spent time with the horses, petted peacocks, and had plenty of opportunities to reconnect with old friends.

Watching this group pick up right where they left off was a reminder that while graduation may mark the end of a chapter, the relationships built at New Hope Academy continue for years to come.

To the Class of 2020, thank you for coming back and sharing part of your story with us. You will always be a cherished part of the New Hope Academy family, and we are grateful to walk alongside you as God continues to lead your journey.

As we wrap up another school year, we celebrate our 6th grade graduates and the incredible young people they are becoming. Graduation marks the end of one chapter and the beginning of another as they step forward into new schools, new friendships, and new opportunities.

While their paths may lead in different directions, they will always be connected by the community they built here. That is one of the beautiful things about New Hope Academy. Once you are part of this family, you always belong. Our alumni continue to carry this community with them, and time and time again, we see them return with gratitude and lasting friendships.

We pray each student walks confidently into this next season, remembering the words of Joshua 1:9: “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”

Congratulations, Class of 2026. We are proud of you, excited for what is ahead, and grateful that you will always be part of the New Hope story.

Last week, we had the joy of welcoming back our NHA Class of 2020 for senior devotions and a special walk through the halls. Watching these graduates return to the place where so much of their story began was a meaningful reminder of God’s faithfulness through every season.
Congratulations, Class of 2020! We are so proud of all you have accomplished and excited to see where your next chapter leads. Once a part of the NHA family, always a part of the NHA family.

As they wrapped up their amphibian science studies yesterday, our 1st graders brought learning to life with their own frog jumping contest! Inspired by the Calaveras tradition in California, students raced origami frogs (handmade by Mrs. Harold’s father, Leonard Gluck) using just a paperclip and a little skill. Congratulations to our winners: Luna (1st), Paloma (2nd), and Zoey (3rd)!

Earth Day is a reminder that creation is not only something we study, but something we are called to care for. Through daily moments of observation and wonder, our students are learning to appreciate the beauty of God’s world and their role in stewarding it well.

Our Kindergarten students have been exploring the wonder of God’s creation as they studied the incredible metamorphosis of caterpillars into butterflies. Through careful observation, journaling, and drawing their butterflies, they captured both the beauty of what they saw and the meaning behind it. Along the way, they reflected on the deeper truth of how we, too, are transformed and made new through the work of Christ.

Yesterday, they joyfully released their butterflies into the wild!

On this Good Friday, we pause to reflect on the depth of God’s love and the story of redemption at the heart of our faith. Our 1st grade classes gathered yesterday for a special Passover Seder, walking through each part of the meal that tells the story of Passover, a Jewish holiday remembering God’s deliverance of His people from slavery in Egypt. Through this shared experience, students were able to engage with a story that has been passed down for generations, rich with meaning and symbolism.

In this season of Easter, we are especially mindful of how moments like these help students see the continuity of God’s faithfulness throughout Scripture, connecting what they learn and experience to the broader story of His love and redemption.

Today, as we observe Good Friday, we are reminded once again of that story of sacrifice, love, and hope fulfilled in Christ.
