The Maroon & White Picnic is Saturday, August 8th, 2026 11am-5pm
Schiller Woods, Grove 13.
GROUP PICTURE AT 1pm!
Plz note the Grove change this year.
Also, please pass along this information to fellow classmates who are not on Social Media. Thank you!
A few tips for a pleasant day:
Bring the following:
Your phone/Camera to capture some memories!
Lawn chairs; but there'll also be picnic tables in the pavilion.
Sunscreen
Any school memorabilia you'd like to share!
And your picnic lunch!
(And per Grove rules,
No Glass of any kind)

The East Leyden Maroon and White 2026 Picnic is Saturday,
August 8th, 10a-4p at Schiller Woods, Grove 13 this year...
Repeating, GROVE 13.
The annual group photo will be taken at 1pm. Please be present by 12:30p if you'd like to be included in this photo.
Please mark your calendars and join us for a day of hangin' with your friends! And as always, please bring your own food and drink and lawn chairs.

OK, MY EAGLE PEEPS!
The Maroon and White Picnic will commence with the Leyden 100th Anniversary Picnic, today, May 17th. Bring your lawn chairs; there's no seating available where we're at. Please make it a point to sign in at the table and get your name badges. Also, we're taking the yearly picture at NOON,
NOT 1p as usual, as the event ends at 2p. Gathering will start at 11:45a for the photo. Also, don't forget your cash for the food trucks that will be available.

FOR SATURDAY, MAY 17th, 2025:
This is an aerial view of the "Annex" across the street(East of) East Leyden. Located at the intersection of Rose Street and King Street. The circled Softball field is where the "Maroon and White" Picnic attendees will be. You can park in the lot on Rose St., along the side streets, if needed, and if you need any assistance in getting to that field, we will be happy to help you get there. As you can see, it's the closest area to King St, which makes for a shorter walking distance. We hope to see you there! ❤️🦅❤️

ATTN: EAST LEYDEN MAROON AND WHITE! Here's another mention for you regarding the Maroon and White Picnic this year, that is merging with the Leyden 100th Anniversary Picnic as the final anniversary event of the year.
Please look for the East Leyden Maroon and White Picnic Banner, which will be on the back stop of the Softball field closest to King St. This is where we will be gathering. I hope to see you there and please remind our fellow Eagles that are not on social media! Thank you!❤️🦅❤️

On Saturday, May 17, the yearlong celebration of Leyden High School District 212’s 100th Anniversary continues with its final event, a community picnic on the grounds of East Leyden. The entire community is invited to this free event featuring a cookout and plenty of family-friendly activities to enjoy.

Free hot dogs and drinks will be provided and food trucks will be onsite for an additional charge. Future Eagles from Leyden’s partner districts will provide entertainment. Games, a traveling exhibit and a time capsule presentation are all included.

East Leyden is located at 3400 Rose Street in Franklin Park, and the event will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the annex, across the street from the school behind the main parking lot. The event will be held rain or shine, with an indoor, onsite location if needed. Everyone is welcome.

Heads up and please spread the word, especially to those not on social media. This year's Maroon and White Picnic will take place on May 17th, 2025, on the grounds of East Leyden High School. We'll be celebrating with everyone at the Leyden 100th Anniversary Picnic. So, there will NOT be a Picnic in August this year. We will be going back to the 2nd Saturday in August in 2026.

THIS YEAR'S MAROON & WHITE PICNIC WILL BE INCLUDED WITH THIS PICNIC, HOSTED BY LEYDEN HIGH SCHOOLS.
SATURDAY, MAY 17th, 2025. 10am-2pm. TO BE HELD AT EAST LEYDEN HIGH SCHOOL, ACROSS 25th STREET, AT THE SOFTBALL AND SOCCER FIELDS, EAST OF THE SCHOOL. MAROON & WHITE ATTENDEES WILL HAVE AN AREA TO GATHER. THIS WILL BE AT FIELD #1, LOCATED IN THE SOUTHWEST CORNER OF THOSE FIELDS.
LEYDEN WILL HAVE A CONCESSION STAND AND THERE'LL ALSO BE MULTIPLE FOOD TRUCKS FOR YOUR CHOOSING.
NO COOLERS, NO ALCOHOL THIS YEAR.
WE WILL GO BACK TO OUR REGULAR SECOND SATURDAY OF AUGUST IN 2026.
