🇺🇸 Save the Date: Green Local Schools Veterans Day Assembly will be Wednesday, November 11 at 10:00 AM.

*High School Announcements*

📆: Students in Grades 7-12, the Fire of the Furnace, your marching band, will compete this Saturday, October 17th, at Valley High School. If you are interested in riding a pep bus to watch them perform, please sign up in the main office with Mrs.Vicki. We need at least 15 students to schedule the bus. We would leave at 3:45 and return at approximately 6:45. Admission and concession stand allowance will be provided.

🏹 : There will be an Archery meeting, Monday October 19th in the Alumni gym at 7:00 pm

🖥️: All students in grades 7-12 have been added to Mrs.Sheila's Internet Safety classroom. Students need to read the slides, watch the videos, then take the Exit Exam. Deadline to complete is December 14th; if it is not completed you will be required to come on the contingency day. If you have any questions please see Mrs.Sheila.

📚 BOOK FAIR FUN CONTINUES!

Our Scholastic Book Fair is still going strong! We are so thankful for our PTO volunteers who have given their time to help our students discover new books and grow their love of reading!

📄 REPORT CARDS COME HOME TOMORROW!

First nine weeks report cards will be sent home Friday, October 16. As we begin a new nine weeks, we encourage families to celebrate their child’s accomplishments and set a new goal for continued growth!

Fall Break is a great time to get creative! Our annual Pumpkin Painting Contest is just around the corner!

October 28 — Bring painted pumpkins to school.
October 29 — Voting and judging.
October 30 — Winners announced!

We can’t wait to see what our creative Bobcats come up with!

We are still collecting photographs of veterans for our special Wall of Honor in preparation for our November 11 Veterans Day Assembly. Thank you to everyone who has already submitted a photograph!

Students in the College Credit Plus (CCP) Intro to Teaching class are currently completing their second field experience requirement within our elementary and primary classrooms to gain invaluable, firsthand experience! 🏫✨

For their next field experience, these future educators will head off-campus to visit neighboring school districts. 🚌🍎

We are incredibly proud of their dedication to their CCP studies and their continuous growth within the education career field! 🎓🌟

Our Book Fair is underway! Students are enjoying the opportunity to shop for books during their scheduled classroom visits. Families will also have an opportunity to visit the Book Fair during Parent-Teacher Conferences!

❤️ RED RIBBON WEEK — OCTOBER 26–30

We are looking forward to celebrating Red Ribbon Week! A special thank-you to our Green High School Key Club students for organizing this year’s themes and helping provide classroom activities for our elementary students. We appreciate the high school students who continue to make this week special for our younger Bobcats!

🎃 ANNUAL PUMPKIN PAINTING CONTEST

It’s almost time for one of our favorite fall traditions!

Wednesday, October 28: Bring painted pumpkins to school.
Thursday, October 29: Pumpkin judging and voting.

🎃 HALLOWEEN CLASSROOM PARTIES — FRIDAY, OCTOBER 30 - No parents are allowed

Our classrooms will celebrate Halloween on Friday, October 30. Please watch for information from your child’s teacher regarding classroom activities.

🇺🇸 VETERANS DAY ASSEMBLY — NOVEMBER 11 AT 10:00 AM

We are preparing for our Veterans Day Assembly and creating a special Wall of Honor to recognize the brave men and women who have served our country.

We have already received many wonderful photographs, and we would love to include even more!

Families are encouraged to submit photographs of veterans they would like recognized on our Wall of Honor. We look forward to honoring these special individuals and sharing their stories with our students.
