✨The School of Social Work proudly recognizes Sophomore Amariyea Gamble who stepped up in a big way for her community. When a last-minute scheduling mix-up left a neighborhood cooking class without an instructor, she answered the call despite feeling nervous and unsure of herself.

Amariyea taught local children how to make homemade honey bun cake and glaze from scratch, creating a fun and engaging learning experience for everyone involved. By the end of the class, the children were asking when she would be back, and the program coordinator was so impressed that she invited Amariyea to become a regular volunteer.

This experience is a wonderful example of leadership, service, and the positive impact our students can have when they step outside their comfort zones. We are proud of Amariyea for sharing her talents, building connections, and making a difference in the lives of youth in her community.💚
