Kentucky Community Crisis Response Team - KCCRT

Kentucky Community Crisis Response Team - KCCRT KCCRT provides organized, rapid, and effective crisis intervention response.

In a natural or man made disaster or under national security conditions many events will occur which will necessitate the coordination and delivery of crisis intervention and disaster behavioral health services. Crisis intervention and disaster behavioral health services are the immediate and coordinated provision of consultation, assessment, risk assessment, referral, and psychological first aid

to people affected by crisis or disaster. The Kentucky Community Crisis Response Board (KCCRB) created under KRS Chapter 36 and recognized as the lead disaster behavioral health agency by the Department for Mental Health and Mental Retardation Services (DMHMRS) (state mental health authority), Kentucky Division of Emergency Management (KYEM) and the American Red Cross (ARC), has the primary responsibility to provide disaster behavioral health services for the Commonwealth. The KCCRB recruits, trains, credentials and maintains a team to provide crisis intervention response services statewide.
