Aquaculture America 2027 will occur in Honolulu, Hawaii from February 21-24, 2027. Several pre-conference student awards are accepting applications. You must submit your abstract to the official conference abstract portal by September 30, 2026 to be eligible for all pre-conference student awards. Several awards also require a short application that is due December 1, 2026. Pre-conference awards include:
๐จ๐ฆ๐๐ฆ ๐ฆ๐๐๐ฑ๐ฒ๐ป๐ ๐ฆ๐ฝ๐ผ๐๐น๐ถ๐ด๐ต๐ ๐๐๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฑ๐: First, second, and third place awards available with monetary prize, registration reimbursement, and a certificate of recognition. Awardees will be given the opportunity to present a summary of their work at the meeting (typically in the plenary session) to compete for the Spotlight Awards. You must be a current USAS Student member during abstract submission to be considered for the award.
๐จ๐ฆ๐๐ฆ/๐๐บ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ถ๐ฐ๐ฎ๐ป ๐๐ถ๐๐ต๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ถ๐ฒ๐ ๐ฆ๐ผ๐ฐ๐ถ๐ฒ๐๐ - ๐๐ถ๐๐ต ๐๐๐น๐๐๐ฟ๐ฒ ๐ฆ๐ฒ๐ฐ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป ๐๐ฒ๐๐ ๐ฆ๐๐๐ฑ๐ฒ๐ป๐ ๐๐ฏ๐๐๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ฐ๐ ๐๐๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฑ: This award is designed to help support conference travel expenses for a USAS/joint AFS-FCS student member presenting at the conference. A winner is awarded $1000 and registration reimbursement. To be eligible for this award you must be both a current USAS and AFS-FCS student member when you submit an abstract.
๐ฆ๐ผ๐ ๐๐พ๐๐ฎ๐ฐ๐๐น๐๐๐ฟ๐ฒ ๐๐น๐น๐ถ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฐ๐ฒ, ๐๐ฒ๐ผ๐ฟ๐ด๐ฒ ๐ ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐๐ถ๐ป ๐ ๐ฒ๐บ๐ผ๐ฟ๐ถ๐ฎ๐น ๐๐๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฑ: This award supports conference travel expenses for a USAS student member presenting a paper related to innovation in aquaculture. Students will be judged based on their essay and the research reflected in their abstract. Students with innovative technology or nutrition-oriented projects are strongly urged to apply. To be eligible for this award, a student must be a current USAS student member when the abstract is submitted.
