None of these bills, pro-gun or anti-gun have shown any movement, so far. If I see anything I'll let you know. Sometimes it happens all at once. They pass a controversial bill and it is done before anyone knows about it. Things aren't supposed to happen like that, but it does happen.

There is a new anti-gun bill, SB 187 introduced by Sen. Danny Carroll. SB 187 will: Create a new section of KRS Chapter 237 to define "modified weapon"; provide that a licensed dealer may not deliver a modified weapon until seven days have elapsed from the date of the purchase application; create new sections of KRS Chapter 527 to provide that a person shall not possess a modified weapon if the person is under 21 years old; provide that no person shall knowingly sell or transfer a modified weapon to a person who is under 21 years old; establish penalties.
If you want to know what a "modified weapon" is read the bill here. I doubt you will like it. This is an assault weapons ban in disguise.

I'll be watching the 14 bills listed below. If anything happens with them, you can read about it here. Meanwhile, things are happening in the world of guns that we should all take an interest in. Here is a good one:

Both SB 56 and SB 66 have been assigned to the Senate Committee on Veterans; Military Affairs and Public Protection. What does this mean? Who knows? Maybe it means something and maybe it means nothing. SB 56 is an anti-gun bill and SB 66 is a pro-gun bill. This is a good committee for pro-gun bills. Nothing else in our list of bills has moved.

There are several really bad gun bills. I suspect that the proponents of these bills thought they could introduce so many that we couldn't fight all of them. I count 16 gun bills and most of them are bad. This year will take a long, hard fight. Stick around, there could be more any day now.
