A dog and his farm adventures will help teach Kentucky students about agriculture and farm safety during this fall’s All in for Ag Education Week, set for Sept. 21-25. More than 700 public elementary schools across the Commonwealth will receive a copy of “Farm Adventures with Willie B.”, along with a Willie B. stuffed dog and standards-based literacy lessons for students in kindergarten through fifth grade.

The price of diesel has reached an all-time high, according to AAA.
The national average for a gallon is now $5.85. That exceeds the previous high in June 2022, when the average for a gallon reached $5.81 a few months after Russia invaded Ukraine, according to AAA data.

The price of diesel has reached an all-time high, a result of the war in Iran and Ukraine's attacks on Russian refineries. That will matter across the supply chain.

Diesel prices are surging at the worst possible time for farmers preparing for fall harvest. The national average retail price for diesel hit $5.61 per gallon on August 28, up nearly $2.00 from last year and closing in on the all-time high of $5.82 set in June 2022. The spike comes as diesel inventories have dropped to their lowest levels since 1982, creating a perfect storm of supply constraints and geopolitical tensions.
