Every Day Matters! 🏫
It’s a new school year, and that means a fresh start! Did you know that missing just two days a month adds up to losing 10% of the school year? We are on our students having consistent attendance because it builds confidence, helps students stay connected, and helps them keep up with learning without the stress of catching up. 🎉Celebrating the 4th Day of 4th Grade! 🎉
Today, our 4th grade students celebrated the 4th day of 4th grade in FOUR-tastic style!

Students enjoyed some punch, played Four Corners, gave “high fours” instead of high fives, and wrote 4 goals they have for 4th grade! ✏️⭐
What a fun way to celebrate our fourth day together! We’re looking forward to an amazing year filled with learning, growing, and lots of memories! 🐝💙🖤❤️💚🐝

🐝 Hearn has the absolute BEST FRC! 🐝

We kicked off our first annual First Grade Welcome Wagon, and it was such a fun day!

Since students who choose to bring a water bottle must have a clear plastic one, each first grader received their very own water bottle, along with a Ring Pop and a special Welcome to First Grade bracelet!

Mrs. Latisa introduced herself and shared all about what she does and how she can support not only our students, but their families as well.
And the BEST question of the day was:
“Mrs. Latisa, can you help my family member that lost their wallet?” 😂😂

We are so excited to welcome our newest Hornets and help them feel right at home!

🐝We have the BEST cafeteria staff at HES! 🐝

These past 3 days, our amazing cafeteria crew has absolutely ROCKED IT! They have worked so hard, put in so much effort, and the food has looked absolutely AMAZING! We are so thankful for everything they do each and every day to make sure our students are well-fed and taken care of. 🍎🍽️

And a HUGE shoutout to our Cafeteria Manager, Jennie Hudgins, for being named East Side Manager of the Year. What an incredible accomplishment and so well deserved! HES truly has the BEST! We appreciate you more than you know!
