Thank You Scouts!!

With Labor Day just around the corner, our local scouting groups are starting to prepare... We are humbling asking that you start as well...

In 2025: Our local collected over 73,000lbs of food and items. In total, our larger scouting region collected nearly 200,000lbs of food items... that changed 1,000s of lives and helped an uncountable number of families.

We are looking to shatter those numbers this year.

The food collection for our area: (Frankfort, Frankfort Square, South Tinley Park, East Mokena), is going to be on Sunday November 15, 2026.. just 11 weeks away.

Please start collecting now, as you shop for your own home.
Adding 1,2-5,10 items per shopping trip... over the next many weeks, when the collection gets here... wow.

We deliver bags to 10,000+ homes. Even 1 item per household, would be a massive drive... can you imagine, if we were able to get 5-10 items per household, or more?

Catch items on sale now, like Peanut Butter at over $1 off per jar at Aldi right now... Soups, get that that buy 1 get 1 deal.. A few dollars per trip (big or small).

Please spread the word, and share these posts with local groups that you are a part of.

Remember: A little from a lot, makes all the difference.

Frankfort Square Park District presents Preschool Prep—a fun, two-day preschool experience for children ages 2.5–3.5 who are ready to learn and socialize. Little ones will enjoy games, songs, crafts, stories, dancing, snacks, and cooperative play in a welcoming setting. Sessions run Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:30–10:30 a.m. at the FSPD Administrative Building. Registration fees apply; no class Nov. 3, 24, or 26.

Register today for Toddler-Palooza Time at Frankfort Square Park District! Designed for children ages 18 months to 2.5 years with an adult, this playful program features large- and fine-motor activities, circle time, crafts, parachute play, and musical instruments. Join us Tuesdays from 9:45–10:30 a.m. starting September 8.

Fee: $45 for residents and $50 for nonresidents. Visit FSPD.ORG to review our fall brochure! This program is listed on page 14.
