🚀 Meet the future: Zipline drones aren’t sci-fi — they’re zipping around delivering medicine, groceries, burritos, and more right now.

🔍 A few cool facts:

Zipline’s drones have flown 100+ million miles and made over 1 million commercial deliveries.

Their “Platform 2” model can carry up to 8 lbs and gently lower packages using a tethered “droid” — no crash landings, no zombie-drone invasions.

In Texas, Zipline is partnering with Walmart to deliver essentials like groceries and OTC meds directly from store rooftops.

Food is joining the party: Chipotle is using Zipline’s system (dubbed “Zipotle”) to fly burritos and bowls to folks in some Dallas suburbs.

Unlike many drone experiments, Zipline has worked in remote, challenging places (Rwanda, Ghana, etc.) which helped them build robust systems — resilience is built-in.

đź’ˇ Why this matters (and why you should care):
Faster, cleaner deliveries. Fewer delivery trucks, lower emissions, less traffic.

Access where roads fail. For rural areas, disaster zones, or places with bad infrastructure — drones can outpace ground transport.

New regulatory frontiers. Zipline’s pushing limits in U.S. airspace regulation, especially for Beyond Visual Line of Sight flights.

Not just hype. This isn’t a futuristic demo — it’s real, operating in multiple countries and scaling.

👉 If you could have one thing delivered to your backyard in 10 minutes by drone — what would it be? (I’ll start: extra coffee + a good book.)
