Twas the night before preschool, when all through the town

Not a teacher was sleeping, just rushing around. Door codes have been sent, and classrooms have been cleaned. We thank our Weekday team for putting together this dream.

First day jitters have just begun, but our loving team has a plan to get the job done.

Prayers are here for the perfect year, in hopes to bring Jesus’ light to everyone near.

The children were nestled, all snug in their beds, While visions of new friends and learning danced in their heads.

While in their dreams each one could see, what a wonderful year this was about to be. 💜

We are saddened to announce the passing of long time Weekday Community Preschool Director/Teacher Ann Craighead....... Ms. Craighead became a teacher there in 1977 and the Director in 1981 and continued until her retirement and moving then to Tennessee.

Ann Truman Burton Craighead, age 90 of Brentwood, TN & formerly of Red Boiling Springs, TN & Frankfort, KY, passed away Thursday, June 12, 2025 in Franklin, TN.

Survivors include: sons, Brian Craighead & wife, Sarah of Nashville, TN, Todd Craighead & wife, Heather Fannin of Canton, GA; granddaughter, Kathryn Heston & husband, Wesley of Decatur, GA; grandson, Logan Craighead & wife, Sammy of Urbana, IL.

She is preceded in death by: husband, Tommy Craighead; parents, Harris & Mildred (Gregory) Burton.

Funeral Services will be Saturday, June 21, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Red Boiling Springs, TN with Todd Craighead officiating.

Interment will follow in the Whitley Cemetery. Visitation will begin on Saturday morning from 10:00 a.m. until service time at 11:00 a.m.

We have two spots left in our 2-day 3/4 year-old program and two spots left in our 5-day 4/5 year old program.

Roland is kind, caring, and always busy doing something. He loves spending time with his family and friends. His favorite activities are riding his new four wheeler, playing his guitar and playing cowboys with dad and working outside. His favorite color is brown and his favorite food is apple and drink is apple juice. His favorite memories of preschool are playing with the toys and his friends.

Hi, I’m Payton and I’m 5 years old. My favorite color is pink, but don’t let that fool you- I’m as tough as I am sassy! I love to go fishing (mostly to make friends with the worms), playing outside, climbing trees and swinging super high! I also love playing with slime. When I grow up I want to be a nurse so I can save people’s lives.

Nevaeh is a fun, sweet, and loving 5 year-old with a big personality! She's independent and outgoing, always ready for a new adventure. Her favorite color is pink, and she can never say no to a plate of spaghetti, or a cup of chocolate milk. One of her favorite memories from Weekday of course the baby chicks. Nevaeh loves riding her bike and Jeep, playing with friends, and spending time with her brother and sister-who she absolutely adores!

Rhett is an energetic jokester who keeps us laughing! His perfect day would include playing outside, eating pepperoni pizza, or using his incredible imagination to design robots out of magnatiles or legos. He is the best big brother to his two younger sisters and always willing to lend a helping hand. He is such a blessing to his family! His favorite memory from this past year was seeing the fire truck in community helpers week but has also enjoyed spending time with his friends each day at school!

Ellie is smart, funny, sweet and sassy!! She is so excited to make her way to kindergarten. But she won’t forget her time spent at Weekday. She has loved making new friends and learning but her favorite part was doing experiments with her friends. Some fun facts about Ellie is- her favorite color is Purple, favorite food is Steak from Texas Roadhouse, and she loves to play outside!
