We are excited to share that the FCHS Boys Golf Team was named the Central Kentucky Bluegrass Conference (CKBC) North Division Champions. The Flyers ended the regular season with a 6-1 division record.

This accomplishment marks a milestone for the boys golf team, as it’s the first regular season division title since 2017. The team held the top spot from 2014-2017.

Throughout the regular season, the team competes in 18-hole tournaments, but division play features seven 9-hole matches against Anderson County, Frankfort Independent, Great Crossing, Sayre, Scott County, Shelby County, and Western Hills High Schools. Five players compete in each match, with the top four scores combining for the team total.

FCHS led the division with the lowest average 9-hole match score at 154.33, a full four strokes ahead of the runner-up.

“The team deserves this honor. Our B-Team picked up a win for us against Western Hills, and everyone on our A-Team, at some point this season, shot their career best. Everyone did something to earn this accolade,” said Jared Graves, FCHS Boys Golf Head Coach. “We are thankful to Juniper Hill Golf Course for being accommodating to us so we can play these matches.”

Individual players made their mark, with four different Flyers earning top score honors. The players and their accomplishments include:
👉 Noah Casey (11th Grade): Earned Match Medalist honors at Anderson County.
👉 Brooks Young (10th Grade): Earned Match Medalist honors at Shelby County.
👉 Myles Williams (11th Grade): Won Match Medalist honors against Great Crossing and tied for the lowest score against Anderson County, Shelby County, and Frankfort.
👉 Cason New (10th Grade): Tied for the lowest overall match score against Sayre.

The Flyers are preparing for the post-season. The team will compete in the following tournaments:
⛳ Saturday, September 5: CKBC Full Conference Tournament (North and South Divisions) at The Woodford Club.
⛳ Monday, September 14: 2A State Championships at Owensboro Country Club.
⛳ September 15-16: The Hilen Cup vs. Frankfort and Western Hills at Juniper Hill Golf Course.
