❤️ Maybe you’ve been looking for a small way to make a BIG difference… ❤️

At The Journey Early Education Center, our days are full of little hands, big feelings, busy classrooms, lots of laughter, and plenty of moments when one extra set of hands can mean everything.

We are looking for a few kind-hearted volunteers who would be willing to pour a little love into our center — whether that’s once a week, a few days a week, or whenever you’re available.

Our greatest need is during:
✨ 9:00–11:30 AM
✨ 1:30–4:00 PM

Sometimes helping means cutting out classroom activities. Sometimes it’s helping with potty breaks, settling little ones for nap, wiping down tables, organizing, cleaning, or simply stepping in beside a teacher who could use an extra hand.

It may feel like a small thing to you — but to a teacher in the middle of a busy day, it can be an incredible blessing. ❤️

Maybe your children are grown. Maybe you’re retired. Maybe you’re a grandparent with a few free hours. Or maybe God has simply placed a desire on your heart to serve.

You don’t have to have all the answers or be a teacher. You just need a willing heart and a little love to give.

“Whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.” — 1 Corinthians 10:31

All jokes aside…

We truly love your children. ❤️ We celebrate their milestones, wipe their tears, cheer for their accomplishments, and pray over their futures. They become a part of our hearts.

The funny stories they share make us laugh, but the trust they place in us is something we never take for granted.

Thank you for trusting us with your greatest blessing. We promise to love them like they’re our own while they’re in our care. 🤍

✨ Choosing a Pre-K is one of the biggest decisions you'll make for your child.
At Journey Early Education Center, we believe preschool should be about so much more than preparing children for kindergarten.
We believe it should nurture the whole child—mind, heart, body, and spirit.
Our Christian, play-based Pre-K is intentionally aligned with the Kentucky Early Childhood Standards while giving us the flexibility to go beyond them. Rather than following a one-size-fits-all curriculum, we create meaningful learning experiences that inspire curiosity, confidence, creativity, and a lifelong love of learning.

Unlike many school-based programs that close or require families to make other childcare arrangements, Journey is a year-round program.
During the summer, we intentionally transition from our structured Pre-K schedule into a relaxed, care-focused summer program filled with outdoor adventures, creative projects, water play, friendships, and hands-on fun. Children get to enjoy a true summer while remaining in the safe, familiar environment they know and love.

🌿 We’re Building a Loose Parts Play Center! 🌿

Our class is creating a Loose Parts Play Center to encourage creativity, problem-solving, engineering, and imaginative play! Loose parts are open-ended materials that children can use in countless ways to build, sort, create, and explore.

If you’re cleaning out around the house or have extras lying around, we’d love your donations!

Some ideas include:
🧴 Plastic lids, containers, bottles, caps, measuring cups, or funnels
📦 Cardboard tubes, small boxes, egg cartons, or sturdy cardboard
🪵 Wooden blocks, slices, spools, corks, craft wood, or smooth scraps
🍂 Natural treasures like pinecones, acorns, seed pods, smooth rocks, shells, sticks, or large leaves

Please make sure all donated items are clean, safe, and free of sharp edges.

Every donation—big or small—helps provide our students with exciting opportunities to explore, create, and learn through play. Thank you so much for supporting our classroom! 💚

Happy Wednesday! ☀️

We’ve been soaking up lots of outdoor playtime this week and enjoying the beautiful weather! 🌿🛝

Our older class has been working hard on the letter D—way to go! Today was full of learning through play as we practiced pattern making, counting, letter recognition, and color sorting. We also worked on important fine motor skills like buckling, hooking, snapping, and buttoning. 👏

So proud of all their hard work and growth! 💛

Happy Friday! ☀️

We’ve had such a fun-filled week here at JEEC! From lots of outdoor play to blowing bubbles and enjoying yummy popsicles, the kids have been soaking up the sunshine and making sweet memories. 🍧🫧

Throughout the week, we’ve also been busy learning and growing—practicing our colors, building with blocks, working on counting, and so much more!

🐣🌷 Easter Egg Hunt Fun! 🌷🐣

We had such an egg-citing day at daycare with our Easter egg hunt! The kids had a blast searching high and low for colorful eggs filled with goodies. 🥚💛

✨ Reminder: We will be closed tomorrow for Good Friday.
