Not just Montessori when we are not regulated I hear this. During Family adaptive guidance/ parent training or home ABA, I have even felt myself escalate because the parent/parents & child are all getting escalated. Sometimes taking an over exaggerated deep inhale & louder slightly animated exhale ( but very neutral) can help. Or shifting the focus to something else, “ah look a bug” or drop something accidentally that shifts the gaze can allow the moment to regroup and try again calmly without a power struggle

Love when the community goes all out and thinks of all their clients!! Some phenomenal dentists do this too…. Always reach out and see if the proprietor is open to giving extra time and extra care to build this relationship and setting up the individual for nothing but success! 😍

We are accepting new patients/ clients for Home ABA! We have 2 spots available (mainly afternoons and weekends)
My expertise is toddler to k, but that doesn’t mean I don’t take on unique requests or families in need of home ABA when everyone else only offers clinic based ABA.
I tailor to the child’s needs as well as the family’s.
I am trauma sensitive and conduct ABA programming gauging where the child is at and meet the child at their skill level and what they can handle for that session, and sometimes it’s moment to moment that’s ok too! It’s about engaging the child following their lead and building a positive rapport before we start asking so much of them.
Somedays there are huge breakthroughs, other days we (the parent and I) observe steady progress, and then somedays we call it a win when the child is communicating that they just want to play and NOT be asked to “match”, or “find the …”; show me which is … or any types of demands placed. Instead they ask me for “rocket jumps” or tickles, play chase or songs and that’s ok too. We all have those days.
Let me help set you and your child ip for success!!!! Whether neuro-diverse or not, Learning should be fun!
Learning should strengthen the bond between parent and child, and if you give me the opportunity, I can show you how 😊

My classroom has more Velcro than the shoe aisle at Walmart…
And honestly? I’m not even sorry about it. 😂
Visuals? Velcro.
Task boxes? Velcro.
Schedules? Yep, Velcro.
Random things I forgot I made in 2019? STILL VELCRO.
At this point, my scissors are sticky, my fingers are fuzzy, and my floor is a graveyard of tiny white dots… but everything is functional, and that’s what matters.
SPED teachers, you get it. Velcro isn’t just a material, it’s a lifestyle. 💅

When a student is struggling, the words we choose matter.
“What's wrong with you?” can sound like blame, even if we don’t mean it that way.
But “What do you need right now?”? That opens a door. It says:
✨ I'm here
✨ You're safe
✨ Your needs matter
This simple change of language helps us to connect with our students and meet their needs.
Because every behavior is communication. And every child deserves to feel seen, supported, and understood. 🧠💬

SNHBehavior Services LLC. Is hiring….

That’s right, we are hiring for 3 separate positions.
Work with me, Phoebe Forsley, in a fun environment working with children ages 2.5, 6 y.o.; 9 years old; and 12 years old.
Depending on which child, or which position fits your schedule will determine which town / or school you would be working in.
RBT a plus (registered behavior technician)

Position 1. Is for 35 hours a week at the Hillsboro Elementary school with a child going to kindergarten. (must be Para II certified and fingerprinting required through SAU 34)

Position 2. 16 hours per week. Working with a 3rd grader in the classroom as his aide (must be Para II certified and fingerprinting required through SAU 34) at the Washington elementary school.

Position 3. 6-15 (possibly more if desired) hours a week Home ABA services with a kiddo cute as a button! 2.5 years old very engaging and will keep you on your toes as well as laughing for days 😊 location is near the Baboosic lake area, Merrimack, NH
