Here are some of the memories made by WalshBots 9791C - Cheese & Quackers at VEX World Championships 2026 in St. Louis. They are determined to be back with this formative experience of being on a global stage. Framingham High School Robotics will have a great group of incoming 9th graders.
After a solid performance on Sunday, Monday was a string of losses due to various reasons (they did expect one or two, but three in a row hit hard). They ended up not being selected for elimination rounds, nor judged awards. The teams present were really good from all over the globe and they did well for their first Worlds experience.
Will have longer update in the coming days - with pictures!

The WalshBots 9791C - Cheese and Quackers journey has been amazing showing for a first time to Worlds in terms of growth in short period of time. The magnitude of Worlds seven divisions each about three times the typical regional tournaments they attended. Very overwhelming, but working incrementally focus on thing they can improve on match over match, the moved up in ranking from 55 to 15th at end of Saturday. Sunday is last day of qualification rounds - if they hold steady, they are likely to be in elimination rounds in their division.
Go WalshBots!
