The third day of exams saw dancers from Pre-Primary, Grade 1, 2, 3 and 5 entered. Congratulations to everyone on your hard work and amazing progress!

Taking ballet exams teaches the students to work consistently over the year, building not just technique but important performance and music skills. By the time exam day arrives they’re at the pinnacle of their progress at that particular level. Their achievement is personal, it doesn’t look the same as their friends. We see and celebrate this in each student, we know what it took, we are proud of every one of them. 🎉💐👏

It’s exam weekend at MDA! Congratulations to our students who took their exams on Friday and Saturday! The photos show dancers in Primary, Intermediate Foundation, Intermediate, Advanced 1 and Grade 6! All the vocational exams were accompanied by the wonderful Harold Cisneres.

Thank you to the RAD team of teachers at MDA who have ensured the students are prepared well for the exams. And particular thanks to the examiner, Mrs Watkin, who has travelled from LA to examine our dancers. And also a huge thank you Ms Tania and Ms Sèarlait who are overseeing the exam weekend ❤️❤️

Don’t wait long to sign up as class sizes are limited and we would love to get our current students into their chosen classes before they fill!

Last summer we held our first 3 day theater dance camp. It was a huge success and got us thinking about offering this as a year-round program. The Royal Academy of Dance have launched their first ever Musical Theater syllabus this year and we are excited to be participating in the training this summer in Toronto!

We know many of our dancers love all areas of theater and so we’re making space for triple threat performers at MDA. We will start with 2 levels running on Fridays starting in September and will complete year one with an in-studio performance. We think this is going to be huge! Space in the classes is limited and registration opens on Saturday May 30th!

Registration for 2026/27 will open on May 30th. Information packs will be given to current students from Tuesday 26th.

We have 3 weeks of evening classes for our students (kids and adults) to enjoy! Look for your dancer’s age group to see what’s available.

Sign up for 1 or more classes per week. Russell Clarke and Séarlait Carr are teaching Monday to Thursday. We have ballet, jazz or tap on offer!
