Critique discussion with Advanced Drawing instructed by Professor Timothy McDonald!
During this session, students came in with their drawings based off a prompt given, and discussed them in an open class setting. They were also visited by Alice Ridley (painteralice_), an FSU alumni, who also joined in on the dicussion.

Student Spotlight! Meet Eliza Gaston ✨
Eliza Gaston is a mixed media artist earning her BA in Studio Art and Art History. While developing her Senior Thesis, she has become inspired by contemporary artists such as Ellie Krakow and Panteha Aberashi. Her most recent work explores the complexity of women’s healthcare through the usage of generational accounts and personal experience. Eliza uses found materials, paint and images from family scrapbooks in her practice, as seen in works such as Heirloom and American Made.

Student Spotlight! Meet Eda Lindstrom ✨
Eda is a mix media studying Studio Art with a concentration in painting and a minor in art history. Taking chances working abstractly and using paint pours to find forms with in the paint and drawing gestural with charcoal. Eda paints themes of medical experiences and experiment with different techniques such as soak and stain. With her fundamental techniques, Eda pushes her work in concept. Looking at artist like Kerry Downey, Ruth Dealy, and Dona Nelson to develop her artist process.

Learning about Latin American Art History with Professor Yumi Park!
Featuring VR headsets!
Throughout the semester, students have been learning about Latin American art with a program that allows students to see and visit various archaeological sites in VR. Combining this with the lectures, it allows students to gain a better understanding at the history they are learning about.

Look at our Honors Introduction to Graphic Design!
Currently this class, instructed by Professor Jennifer Dowling, has been working on creating graphic assets for the Sudbury Historical Society. During this project, they have been able to directly communicate with Director Francesco Buccella of SHS to revise and further develop their designs.
