A huge thank you to Mark Van Buren and the team from New England Turf Solutions, LLC for spending the day with our Horticulture students!

Mark, along with team members Emerson and Gio, shared their expertise in artificial turf installation, providing students with valuable hands-on experience and a closer look at a growing segment of the green industry. Students explored the design, installation, and maintenance of synthetic turf systems while learning about the skills and opportunities available in the field.

Experiences like these help connect classroom learning to real-world careers and allow students to learn directly from industry professionals. We appreciate New England Turf Solutions' commitment to supporting career and technical education and helping our students discover new pathways within the horticulture industry.

Recently, the Criminal Justice Class of 2028 stepped into leadership roles by delivering six interactive e-bike safety presentations to the Class of 2029. Students shared practical reminders about safe riding habits and staying responsible on the road.

At Keefe Tech, student safety matters every day. As e-bikes become more common, these reminders help keep everyone alert, aware, and protected:

🚲 E-Bike Safety Reminders 🚲

🚴 Wear a helmet every ride
🚦 Follow all traffic laws and signals
➑️ Ride in the same direction as traffic
🚲 Use bike lanes when available
πŸ“΅ Stay alert and avoid distractions
πŸ”¦ Make yourself visible with reflective gear and lights
πŸš— Stop and look both ways before crossing intersections

Safety starts with simple choices that make a big difference. Let’s keep looking out for ourselves and one another on the road. 🚦

πŸ”¬ Grade 9 Biology Lab πŸ”¬

Grade 9 Biology students recently participated in a hands-on dissection lab, exploring frog anatomy to deepen their understanding of vertebrate body systems.

Through guided lab work and careful observation, students identified major organs and structures while connecting classroom concepts to real biological systems. This experience helped strengthen their understanding of anatomy, lab procedures, and scientific observation skills.

This was a valuable and memorable lab experience that allowed students to see biological structures up close and in action. πŸ§‘πŸ’™

πŸ¦·πŸ“š Collaboration in Action πŸ“šπŸ¦·

Grade 9 Dental Assisting and Early Childhood students recently came together for a collaborative learning experience focused on supporting children's health and well-being.

Through group presentations, discussions, and peer learning, students shared strategies for promoting children's oral health and explored ways to support children with diverse needs in dental settings. Working together gave students the opportunity to learn from one another while developing communication, teamwork, and presentation skills.

Experiences like this help students see the connections between different career pathways and reinforce the importance of providing positive, child-centered care.
