Why is Geometry so important?
A multi-year exposure to proof-based geometry gives students a strong logical foundation and the confidence to succeed in higher-level math. Through mathematical proofs, students learn to think critically, reason step by step, and support every conclusion with evidence, skills that extend far beyond the classroom.
At RSM, students begin Geometry as early as 6th grade, giving them years to develop logical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and mathematical maturity. This preparation helps students excel in the SAT, AP courses, college-level mathematics, and competitions like Math Kangaroo, AMC 8, and MathCounts.
✨ Geometry is challenging, rewarding, and fun, and we can't wait to share our passion for it with your child!

Success in mathematics is built through curiosity, persistence, and a willingness to take on challenges, and Chris Zhang is a wonderful example of that. A dedicated student at RSM, Chris recently earned an outstanding result on the AMC 8, showcasing the problem-solving skills and confidence he has developed throughout his 7 years at RSM.
When asked what advice he would give younger students, Chris shared:
💡
• Don't overthink your answers.
• Don't rush through the questions.
These two simple habits can make a big difference. Trust your thinking, read each problem carefully, and give yourself the time to find the best solution.
Congratulations, Chris, on your impressive AMC 8 achievement! We're proud to celebrate your accomplishments and can't wait to see where your mathematical journey takes you next.

Success begins with the confidence to take on difficult challenges.
Jordan Juetten, an RSM alumna, shares that one of the most valuable lessons she learned at RSM was developing a disciplined approach to solving complex problems. Although the academic rigor was demanding, it strengthened her analytical thinking and prepared her for future academic success.
Jordan went on to attend Colgate University and later the London School of Economics, where the strong mathematical foundation she built at RSM continued to benefit her.
What Jordan enjoyed most about RSM was working through challenging problems and experiencing the satisfaction of finding the solution. She also credits her favorite teacher, Elina Pirovich, for making a lasting impact on her learning journey.
Her advice for current RSM students:
"Make sure you are always focused."
Thank you, Jordan, for sharing your story with the RSM community. We are proud of everything you have accomplished and look forward to seeing what you achieve next.

For the past 5 years, Arjun Arora has been growing with RSM, strengthening his mathematical thinking through dedication, practice, and perseverance. His journey reflects the power of consistent effort and a positive attitude toward learning.
When asked what advice he would give to younger students, Arjun kept it simple:
💡 "Practice and focus."
Sometimes the best advice is the simplest. Regular practice, staying focused, and never giving up are the building blocks of success in mathematics and beyond.
Congratulations, Arjun, for your success in the AMC! We look forward to seeing all you'll accomplish in the years ahead!

Success isn't about avoiding challenges. It's about learning how to overcome them.
Akash Shetty joined RSM in fourth grade, where he quickly discovered that growth comes from asking questions, working hard, and never giving up. Through the support of his teachers, homework help sessions, and a classroom community that encouraged curiosity, he built both strong mathematical skills and the confidence to tackle difficult problems.
Today, Akash is studying at the University of Southern California, and he credits RSM with helping him skip a grade of math in school while preparing him for the rigor of college level coursework. Just as importantly, RSM taught him valuable life skills, including discipline, effective study habits, and time management.
Reflecting on his experience, Akash is especially grateful to Ms. Anna Rivero and Ms. Irina whose dedication and encouragement helped him understand challenging concepts and inspired his love of learning.
His advice for current RSM students:
"Continue to challenge yourself! The ability to overcome difficult hurdles is a skill that is built through time and practice. Developing that ability will give you a huge advantage."
Thank you, Akash, for sharing your journey with the RSM community. We are proud of everything you have accomplished and look forward to seeing where your path takes you next.

At RSM, every student's journey is unique, and we are always excited to see where it leads.
Meet Aastha Gupta, an RSM alumna whose passion for learning continued well beyond the classroom. Aastha earned her undergraduate degree from The Ohio State University, followed by both a Master's degree and an MBA from the University of Florida.
Looking back, Aastha credits RSM with giving her a strong mathematical foundation that helped her excel in AP Calculus BC, earning college credit and allowing her to skip a calculus course in college.
One of her favorite memories is learning with Mrs. Bock.
"She was always so friendly and made sure you understood everything every step of the way. She explained concepts in multiple ways, so everything always made sense."
Aastha especially appreciated RSM's small class sizes and supportive learning environment, which helped her develop confidence in mathematics that stayed with her through college.
Her advice for current RSM students is simple but meaningful:
"Grades aren't everything! They're important, but it's okay to fall. As long as you pick yourself back up again."
Thank you, Aastha, for sharing your story with the RSM community. We are proud of all you have accomplished and wish you continued success in the future.
