At 6 days old your baby has preprogrammed movement patterns where the arms and legs move in involuntary ways. Placing toys in the arc of that movement allows them to experience early sensory feedback to the brain, which is the very beginning of reaching through more voluntary pathways.

Be patient and see the magic of development happen before your eyes.
