Our last major project of the year, 8th grade finished sewing thier pillows last week. They all did a really great job! Hope to see them back next year for more life themed adventures.

The great big officially official final food lab of the year. Culinary Arts students studied different cuts of steak, different types of beef and polished it off with a steak of their choice. We had ribeyes, NY strips, and more. Students made them to their own doneness preferences and it was as delicious as it looks. What's your go to cut and how do you like it?

Practical Arts had 1 last food lab for the year. They mixed up some pizza muffins. Soft, fluffy, saucy! What a fun snack.

Just because the year is winding down doesn't mean learning is winding down. Everyday Living classes headed outside to meet up with our fantastic maintenance crew. In the garage we all got hands on changing out a flat tire and checking out a few things under the hood. Special thanks to maintenance for taking time with us today!

Most things about the year coming to a close are exciting and fun but today was a touch of sad. We had our final get together with our Littles from the elementary school. The FACS 2 students put together a great party with goody bags, games, and snacks. We even had a photo wall and props. It was a great time and we can't wait to start over next year! Thanks to Ms. Fox and her aides for sharing Littles time with us.

What can I say that I haven't said?? These kids are amazing. I think these cakes will say it all for me. Our cake competition, the biggest of the year, took place today after a full week of preparations and planning. Each team had to have a layer cake, a cake soak, a filling, piping, and edible only decoration. We ended up witb 4 delicious and unique cakes for our judges. From chocolates, peanut butter, marshmallow, caramels, to coconut, and more, we didn't lack for flavors and textures! The best part? After judging students got to take those cakes home. If you got to try one, you are one lucky duck! Beautiful job!
