What a beautiful fall day for our Bike and Walk to School Day! 🚴 Thank you to all the adults who joined the "Bike Bus" and helped kids on their ride to school this morning and everyone helping keep our streets safe for our bike riders. As part of our commitment to Pillar III within the Framework of Our Future, the Fox Point–Bayside School District continues its partnership with CESA-1 Parents United, which provides educational resources and opportunities for families and professionals across southeastern Wisconsin.

Join the upcoming session, “Give Him the Whale: Harnessing Student Interests for Learning,” led by Dr. Paula Kluth. This session will explore how students’ unique interests and areas of expertise can become valuable tools for learning, connection and classroom success. Participants will learn strategies for honoring these interests to help calm, comfort, teach and engage students with and without identified needs.

Last week we welcomed Jasper Rabbit's Creepy Tales writer Aaron Reynolds to Stormonth for an author visit with our 1st-4th graders. There was eager anticipation for this visit from the author of the most checked out book in our library last year and it did not disappoint! If the amount of laughter and a signing line for over 150 books was any indication - this author visit was a success at building enthusiasm for reading and writing!

Our specials team works hard to create memorable experiences for our Stormonth community. This fall students will have grade level events, field trips, community giving, and even performance opportunities that showcase their learning and build excitement. Whether part of class, or an extension beyond the walls of our school, Stormonth students grow through art, library, makerspace, music, physical education, Spanish, and SEL classes.

Today was our first Storm Rally of the year! Each month of the school year we gather to celebrate and come together as a whole school commnuity around our theme of Be You. Be Kind. Be Stormonth.

The Stormonth Band kicks us off with the Stormonth Song. We share about the Book of the Month. There are Specialist Class Awards. And it all ends with a whole school choreographed dance to send us off in a joyful way.
