Fowlerville Elementary & Kreeger Elementary families:

We want to clarify that we are NOT changing the process for student arrivals or departures at this time.

Start time and doors open at 8:50 am.

As we look at our current process, we do expect to have some changes in the near future. Any changes will be communicated in advance, so you are informed. We apologize for any confusion caused by earlier communications and appreciate your patience.

Dear Kreeger Elementary Families and Students,
Welcome to the 2026–2027 school year! I hope your summer was filled with rest, fun, and wonderful memories
with family and friends. As your principal, I'm delighted to welcome both returning families and those new to our
school community.
Our teachers and staff have worked hard to prepare classrooms and learning spaces that are safe, engaging, and
welcoming. Elementary school is a magical time of discovery, and our goal this year is to ensure every student
feels supported, challenged, and inspired to reach their full potential.
Our school culture centers on our Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) framework. Together, we
focus on three core expectations that help every child thrive: Be Respectful, Be Responsible, and Be Safe.
Throughout the year, we will teach, practice, and celebrate these positive behaviors in the classroom, on the
playground, and in all common areas. We invite you to partner with us by talking about these core values at
home, reinforcing the same positive habits we practice every day at school.
Here are a few important details to help you prepare for a smooth start:
● First Day of School: Monday, August 24, 2026
● School Hours: 8:39–3:32 (building will open at 8:39 with instruction beginning at 8:50)
● Open House / Meet the Teacher: Wednesday, August 19, 2026, from 4:30–6:00
● Back-to-School Hub: Please visit the Back-to-School Hub for important information regarding the start
of the 2026–2027 academic year.
Morning Arrival and Breakfast: Each morning, the doors at Fowlerville Elementary School and Kreeger
Elementary will open at 8:39 a.m. for students who would like to eat breakfast. Third-grade students will pick up
breakfast in their pod, while fourth- and fifth-grade students will pick up their breakfast bags in the Kreeger
cafeteria. After getting their breakfast, students will report to their classrooms and wait outside their classroom
until 8:50 a.m., when they will enter and begin their instructional day. This routine will give students plenty of
time to enjoy breakfast while ensuring we are ready to begin learning promptly at 8:50.
We firmly believe that a strong partnership between home and school is key to student success. We encourage
you to stay connected with us through our school website, regular email updates, and active participation in
school events.
To our amazing students: We cannot wait to see your smiling faces, hear your stories, and watch you learn and
grow this year. Bring your curiosity, your kindness, and your enthusiasm!
