I’m so very blessed, thank you Lord! Got to spend the evening watching an Atlanta Braves game at Truist field with my oldest and one of my dearest friends Tim and his daughter Laura. Tim Rutledge, through his peer support and OIS classes, has conservatively helped over 8000 1st responders understand and recover from use of force incidents. Today, sadly is the end of an era. Pat Long announced his retirement. For several years Heather Long and then her father, retired Thornton police officer Pat Long have served as the Training Director for the Rocky Mountain HIDTA. Both have been the consummate example of professionalism and dedication. The devotion and effort they have shown to provide the best training available to the rocky mountain region is unequalled. They have established a standard of conduct that will be near about impossible to replace. I wish them well in this new chapter of their lives and pray that God will bless them in all that they do. Thank you both for all that you have done for the criminal justice profession and for the many personnel who have benefited from your efforts. God Speed my friend!
